Nitpick: When about to enter Wispy Sunny Pines, O'Hara puts the phone in her bag and the bag on her shoulder, but after the camera shot shifts the bag is on her elbow.
Nitpick: When Shawn and Gus meet in their office after the sorority incident, Shawn is directly in front of Gus and in most shots Gus is looking ahead while talking, but there is a shot in which Gus is talking and looking to his left, although the next shot shows that Shawn didn't move.
Trivia: According to this episode, Lassiter has been working for the SBPD for at least 15 years.
Psych-Out: Lassiter and Juliet perform "Leaving on a Jet Plane" but not without some background noise from Shawn and Gus.
Nitpick: When Shawn is trying to read the cards on his floor, he grabs a jack of hearts, but when the camera shifts back to the floor it is still there.
Psych-Out: Much to the annoyance (and probably delight) of Interim Chief Vick, Shawn acts out a hypothetical conversation between Felix and Deanna that involves both falsetto and a piñata.
Pineapple Spotting: Shawn eats pineapple slices at the Psych office when he and Gus discuss the case.
Goof: When Shawn and Gus exit the courtroom, Shawn seems surprised to see that Lassiter is there. Yet, while in the courtroom in the previous scenes, Lassiter can be seen actually sitting right next to Shawn.
Goof: Juliet claims she is wearing alligator pumps as she and Lassiter are walking up to the courthouse, but a subsequent closeup shows she is not.
Psych-Out: Juliet excitedly takes lead vocals for her rendition of "Cool It Now", joined by the lackadaisical lyrics of Shawn and Gus.
Lassiter has a Master's degree in Criminology.
This episode has a strong showing of Stargate Alumni. Colin Cunningham, who plays Marvin, was a regular on Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis as Major Paul Davis. Teryl Rothery, who plays Glenda, was also a regular on Stargate SG-1 as Dr Janet Fraiser. And the head waitress at the speed dating place, Lorraine, is played by Ellie Harvie, who also was a regular in Stargate Atlantis, playing the ditzy, yet brilliant, Dr Lindsey Novak.
Psych-Out: Henry, per his request, gets in on the action, but singing "Feels Good" with Shawn and Gus isn't what he had in mind.
Nitpick: During his press conference, Hugo claims that the planet "he" discovered is Earth-like. However, the telescope he is seen using is not nearly large or powerful enough to resolve an Earth-sized planet around another star. Even the largest telescopes today are unable to directly view Earth-sized planets around other stars.
Psych-Out: Gus has some problems getting through a line, "We made a deal. Yesterday. We're equal partners. That means we collectively decide which appointments to make, which cases to take."
Gus' Alias: Dr. McTock
When Shawn removes the poster of Mike, we can see two ads. One is a want ad for a "Green Spirit Strikes Again" collector comic, and the 2nd is a reward ad for a lost "Vintage Gold Pocket Watch" with the inscription: Don't lose..Henry. The 1st is a reference to episode 1.8 "Shawn Vs. the Red Phantom," in which Shawn destroys Gus' collector comic book. The 2nd is to 1.6 "Weekend Warriors," in which Shawn's dad buys him a gold watch like he used to own.
Pineapple Spotting: Shawn says the coffee shop has double chocolate mango pineapple scones.
Nitpick: When Shawn and Gus are under the blanket on the couch at the ranger's cabin, right after Shawn says "We've got work to do", he grabs his cup of soup with his left hand, and the handle is on the other side. But, in the next shot when he gets up, he's holding the cup by the handle.
Nitpick: In this episode, it is said that Zoe Sharp was killed 20 years ago. Shawn says she was killed 20 years ago, when Mike was a baby. Captain Connors also says that she was killed in 1986. The poster of Mike, however, states that his age is 26, when he should actually be 20 or 21 if his mother died when he was a baby.
