A MAJOR goof occurred in the last setup -- the truck driver's job was to hit the copy of Goldberg's motorcycle so that it will catch fire, operated by remote control. The driver completely missed the bike, and when the fire was activated, it looked SO obviously phony that Ashton came out and the Punk was over. The joke ended up being on the Punk'd crew.
Lindsay: Listen, I'll do whatever I can to help you...
Driver: What? What can you do? Can you put the baby back in my wife?
Kaitlin: (to the kids) Let's pipe down and let Beyonce tell her Christmas story, okay?
For this entire season, the show won the 2004 Teen Choice Award for "Choice TV Show-Reality/Variety", and the 2004 BMI Cable Award. Plus, Ashton Kutcher won the 2004 Teen Choice Award for "Choice Reality/Variety TV Star-Male", and was nominated for the 2004 Kids Choice Awards's Blimp for "Favorite Television Actor" (also for That '70s Show).
When the episode first aired, WWE Armageddon was on at the same time, so many WWE fans missed the chance to see (then) superstar Goldberg almost get punk'd.
This was supposedly the series finale. But every fan of the show got PUNK'D, by Ashton himself. He realeased a very funny video where he told the truth live on MTV, and told that a third season was coming.
