      • Henry: Why don't you and Julie join us?
Betty: I'm cooking pot roast, and I always make too much.
Henry: And I'm serving potatoes a la Warnimont.
Betty: That's just a fancy name for potato buds.
Richard: We really appreciate the invitation, but we just can't make it.
Julie: Sure, we can, Daddy. I'm tired of TV dinner. Especially without TV.

      • Betty: And everybody minds their own business.
        Richard: Great.
Betty: So, what line of work are you in?

      • Richard: Julie, get down from there!
Punky: It's okay, Mr. Whitney, we invited her up. She's not TREES-passing.

      • Julie: Every time I make new friends, we have to move. And every time we move, I have to change my name. I've been Joan, and Jane, and Janet--
        Punky: Listen, Julie--
        Julie: It's Jennifer!

      • Punky: Boy, your mom wants you with her, your dad wants you with him.
        Julie: Yeah, isn't it rotten?
        Punky: I think it's wonderful.
        Julie: You do?
Punky: Yeah. See, Henry's my foster dad. I don't know where my real dad is.
        Julie: How come?
Punky: He walked out on my mom and me. Then my mom started acting real weird. She drove me to a shopping center, and never came back.
Julie: Why would she do that?
Punky: I don't know. And what really bothers me is I may never get the chance to ask her why.

      • Richard: You didn't know this, but Mark and your mother were planing on moving to the west coast. Do you know what that means? Gosh, it means I'd hardly ever get to see you again. And I was so afraid. I was so afraid you'd forget me.
Julie: That couldn't happen. You're my daddy, and you always will be.

    • NOTES (3)

      • When Betty was looking at Julie / Jennifer's picture on the milk carton, the camera was zoomed in on it and you could clearly see her vital stats listed. They were:

        FROM: Lawrence, Kansas
        DOB: 1/24/77

        HEIGHT: 4' 11"
        WEIGHT: 57
the rest were not visible, off the bottom of the screen.

      • Julie / Jennifer was the first of 2 kids that wanted to rent Punky's treehouse to live (Allen was the other near the end of Season Three's "Divorce, Anderson Style"). In both cases Punky gave them their money back and told them it was on the house.
