Open Door, Broken Heart (2)
AIRED:
After Punky's attempt to get the police to look for Brandon, and a teen con artist shows up with a bad fake, Henry brings up the point that there's a chance that Brandon may not be found. Henry, Betty, and Cherie try to cheer Punky up with a new golden retriever puppy, but that doesn't work. However, one of the flyers that Cherie was handing out ends up in the hands of Joey's mother. Joey doesn't want to give Brandon up, but Brandon takes matters into his own paws and escapes from Joey and shows up at Punky and Henry's door, being chased by Joey and his mother. With Brandon back, Punky decides to give the puppy to Joey, who has discovered that he and his parents won't be moving to California after all.moreless

      • Henry: I'll help you look for as long as there's strength left in these legs!
Punky: I want to look a little longer than that.....

    • NOTES (3)

      • Like fellow guest star Alley Mills, Scott Menville also went on to appear in "The Wonder Years": he played Wayne's (Jason Hervey, who also appears in "Punky Brewster" episode #76) best friend Wart in four episodes in the fifth and sixth seasons. In addition to all of this, Soleil Moon Frye, Casey Ellison, and Ami Foster would all return the favor by making separate guest appearances on "The Wonder Years" themselves.

      • Scott Menville went on to play as Kimmy Gibbler's boyfriend Duane in the final season of "Full House".

      • Alley Mills went on to play as Norma Arnold on "The Wonder Years".
