That this is the penultimate episode of this series is a tragic shame since this story was so amazing. Fred Williamson was well cast as the man from Emerson's past as was Gina Torres as his former love. Adding Simone to the mix just made it more fun as the dialouge and pacing clicked wonderfully and the mystery was fun too. But the emotion carried it, McBride doing a wonderful job with the softer side of Emerson and his attempts to get back with his daughter all the way to the bittersweet ending. The stuff with Chuck and Ned discussing their relationship was good as was Olive but Emerson carried this story and did it brilliantly. Once again, makes you miss this show so badly.
