  • An example of why I love this show. Interesting twists and great ending.

    8.5
This episode, about a woman in the Witness Protection Program, started off not that interesting. Sam is charged with keeping her safe from the friends of the man she testified against. Unfortunately, there is a mole in the program. Sam gets the idea to take her to a cabin owned by a professor friend of his, rather than to the planned destination of Baltimore. He reveals that the last time he was at the cabin (only just that summer) he and the professor were discussing the string theory of leaping through time.

There are nice little twists in the episode. One is that the woman finds a picture of Sam and his professor. There is a great moment at the end, but I won't give it away.moreless

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (3)

    • The wide shot of the cabin is the same shot used for the cabin of Stringfellow Hawke, from Bellisario series Airwolf.

    • When Sam and Dana reach the Log Cabin, Sam finds the key but then Dana storms into the cabin without unlocking the door.

    • When Nick shoots Sam and Dana in her driveway, bullets riddle the car, busting out all the windows. When Sam drives off, there is NO windshield at all.

Windshields are LAMINATED glass, they don't just fall out all over the dash, as shown here. They spider-web, and there is no way Sam could have seen through it to drive.

  • QUOTES (6)

  • NOTES (1)

    • The familiar opening prologue music used with Deborah Pratt's narration makes its debut with the opening prologue of this episode. This music would be used in every episode from this point on this season, and a shortened form of the prologue (with altered narration by Deborah Pratt) would be used beginning in season three for the remainder of the series' run.

  • ALLUSIONS (1)

    • When Sam and Dana are arguing in the laundry truck, Sam swings his arm and says, "To the moon!"

This is a reference to The Honeymooners, starring Jackie Gleason as Ralph Kramden. During arguments with his wife, Alice, Ralph would regularly tell her that one day he would send her to the moon, implying he wanted to smack her one. He, of course, never would or did.
