Sam finds himself up against two deadly storms; one brought about by Hurricane Camille and the other coming from a seriously mentally ill woman who wants to be the only woman in Sam's life.
Hurricane Camille was a real hurricane and history is wonderfully weaved into the episode's story. The episode features bits of comedic relief with a drunken tenants or the cadre of people who do elect to relocate to the safe house.
However, most of the episode is both very romantic and dark. A combination that could have easily fallen apart, especially in a television episode, but works perfectly here.
You really do believe in the romance between the Deputy Sheriff and his girlfriend.
You feel the power of the hurricane as well as the sheer loneliness and mental disease of a woman who is so afraid of being alone.
