One of Sam's "suitcases" is a 1969 Barbie two-doll case with the Barbie logo and the drawings of the dolls whited out. It's similar to the single case that appeared in the episode "Maybe, Baby," but is larger in size.
Anachronisms: The stock footage of the audience during Sam's performance is clearly from the 80's and not the 50's. This is because African Americans are not segregated in the crowd and the hairstyles do not match the time period.
Connie: I felt alive--like I had electricity shootin' all through my body...you ever felt that way?
Sam: Yeah, once or twice.
