Episode Summary

At Woody's bar, Debbie emcees a charity strip contest during which one of the contestants goes too far and exposes himself to the crowd. A plainclothes policeman in the audience orders the patrons to leave, and the bar is closed. Debbie organizes a protest and publicly condemns Stockwell as a homophobe, putting her beau, Detective Horvath, in an awkward situation. Stockwell maintains that illegal activity at Woody's caused its closing and mentions Brian as proof that he is not a homophobe.

Michael arranges a job interview for Ted with Tracy, now the manager of the Q Mart. Overqualified for the position of assistant bookkeeper, Ted is stunned and angry when the regional manager hires another "more qualified" applicant. Later, bartending for party planner boyfriend Emmett, Ted experiences further humiliation after overhearing Garth Racine refer to him as "nobody." Out shopping for wine for a get-together with all their friends at his and Emmett's apartment, Ted returns extremely drunk and ruins the evening when he inadvertently shoves Emmett in the kitchen.

Melanie wants to work on the appeal of a woman who lost child custody rights to her abusive, drunken spouse due to her lesbianism. Knowing a career-making, landmark decision will be rendered in the case, Melanie tries to renege on an earlier promise to Lindsay to lighten her workload in preparation for motherhood.

Mel had a made a deal with Linze that she would lighten up her work load and maybe do part time now that she has a baby on the way. However, when a break in a case she's been working on for three years turns into what will be a landmark case for not only Mel's career but for gay couples everywhere, she can't resist. A partner at work was all ready to kick her out of the picture and take over everything she'd worked for on this case, and she didn't want to let that happen. When she winds up not being able to pick Gus up on time and asks Linze, they have an argument later that night. Linze is not very happy with Mel for suggesting they get a nanny or a babysitter, because Linze doesn't want their kids being raised by those kind of people like she was. Meanwhile, Deb is helping with a charity strip contest Tease for Teens, which is some suicide prevention thing. Brian offers a guy a hundred bucks to expose himself on stage. When the guy does it there is a sting, and two detectives come out of the audience and shut Woody's down. This angers Deb who gets everyone to go down to the precinct and protest against Stockwell. Deb yells at Carl who claims he knew nothing about it, and accuses his boss of being a homophobic. Carl later tells Deb that her mouth has gotten him into trouble with Stockwell his boss. She says she's going to continue to use her first amendment rights, and Carl walks out on her. In the meantime Ted is having a hard time adjusting to Emmett being the bread winner. He gets a job bar tending at one of Emmett's parties and everything is going great, until Garth shows up out of nowhere and just reinforces Ted's feelings that he is nothing. He treats him like garbage. Later on Emmett, Vic, Mel, Linze, Mike and Ben are all at Emmett's preparing nice food and drinks, and Ted walks in wasted. When Emmett tries to get Ted to eat something, Ted shoves him into the counter. He apologizes and Emmett takes him to lay down. On the other hand, Mike doesn't seem to thrilled about Brian and Justin being back together. He doesn't like Justin's idea for the next comic book because it is very explicit, it is Justin's character giving Rage a bj. I think it bothers Mike more because Justin is back with Brian. However Mike later gives in. Stockwell fires Brian because one of his detectives had saw Brian at Woody's. However, when his polls drop after the protest he pretty much realizes that he needs Brian. However, he almost uses Brian by telling the media that he is not a homophobe and that one of his close friends are gay What a crock. This was another great installment. I am surely looking forward to the next episode as usual.moreless

  • Finally, they're back together!

Ethan's gone for good now and Brian decided to give Justin a second chance. They surprise everyone by showing up at Babylon together. Everyone's excited for their reunification except for Michael, who probably thinks that Justin will get in between their friendship again. I'm so glad that they're back together and that phony Ethan is out of the picture. Brian has and will always love Justin more than Ethan ever did, regardless of his actions to try and prove his love for him. Justin realizes that he shouldn't expect anything more from Brian than from before, but knows how much Brian loves him even though he won't ever say, at least for now. I wasn't sure if Brian would be so willing to take him back after what Justin did to him, but I''m deffinately glad he did.moreless

  • They're Back!!! (Part 2)

    10
    "Perfect"
They're back! They're back! They're back!!! Justin and Brian and finally, finally back together. So long Mr. Fiddler, go on and fall right of that roof. Ben is right when he says, "The most historic reunification since Germany."

And they are so sweet with one another in this episode. First, when they do their little touchy feely dance. Adorable! Then, later, when they share a "art imitating" life moment in Brian's loft with a little charming wit thrown in. So sweet!!!

I particularly love how they didn't make a giant spectacle of them getting back together either. Usually, when two chief characters break up and then get back together it is like they need to be reintroduced into everything over a few episodes. And though they did cover all their bases with the gang, Michael, and everything else it was nice to see that they were back together and that was that. That's howo it happened after all.moreless
