Ben grieves the loss of Hunter. Melanie and Lindsay attempt an in-house separation. Emmett finds himself the center of some unwanted attention and Justin has a brush with the law... and his father.
Brian: My mother was a frigid bitch, my father an abusive drunk. They had a hateful marriage, which is probably why I am unwilling or unable to perform a long term, committed relationship of my own. The fact that I drink like a fish, abuse drugs, and have more or less redefined promiscuity doesn't help, much. As a result, I've lost the two people in my life that mean the most of me. Ted: There, don't you feel better? Brian: No, but I'm sure you do.
Corrine: I'm not a naive person, but talking to some of these people on the phone today, I nearly lost it. I wanted to say 'How can you be such a bigoted, ignorant asshole, and still call yourself an American?' Melanie: And what did President Bush say?
This is the only episode in "Queer as Folk" not to have at least one scene between Brian and Justin. It came close in episode 501 when they were talking on the phone, but it was at least interaction.
