AIRED:

With Melanie at his side, Ted faces court on charges of employing a minor in his adult web site business. The bail is set at 100.000 $. Ethan recaps his previous night's success with Justin who is jealous of Ethan's admirer(s). Debbie pisses-in on Vic's new poz boyfriend Rodney. Thanks to Ted's demise, chief Stockwell is scoring points with his voters and Brian is to help him "purify" Liberty Avenue. Michael is vividly contemplating the whole "I'm sick, you are not – thus, you don't understand" situation with Ben which only escalates with Ben's steroid-induced rage and the upcoming memorial service for his ex. Ted is out on bail but is sure to stand a though trial. Desperate, he decides to ask Brian to pull some of his Stockwellian strings bur fails to enlist his support. Michael and Brian try to work on the 2nd edition of rage. Emmet shows up at Brian's office and begs Brian to help Ted. Vic invites Rodney over for dinner, introducing him to Debbie and Michael. Rodney shares his view on poz-neg relationships. Brian and Stockwell share a game of racquetball and later, in the steam room, Brian persuades him not to pursue the Schmidt trial. Justin and Ethan share a romantic moment only to be interrupted by a visit from Ethan's new admirer. Fed up with Ben's behavior, Michael confronts him in an interesting manner. Ethan admits his unfaithfulness to Justin and after a short "Relationships 101" discussion Justin takes off Ethan's ring and leaves him. Melanie informs Ted that the prosecution decided to go easy on him so he will have to shut down his web site in exchange for his freedom. After a night spent on the couch, Ben tells Michael that he will stop using steroids and invites him to the memorial service. Melanie gets pregnant. Ted and Emmet have to give up the house due to Ted's court fees. While cruising Babylon's backroom, Brian sees Justin betting busy with a guy and they share glances. Curtains.

  • Queer as Folk at its Finest

Everything comes together in this episode - everything many of us fans have been waiting for, even if it's not complete yet. While I loved the Brian and Justin and Ted and Emmett dynamic, let me just add that Hal Sparks gave one of the most splendid performances I've ever witnessed in my life. Much respect to him and his talent.

The judge is asking for one hundred thousand dollars for bail for ted. The judge says she plans punishing Ted to the full extent. Ted asks Brian for his help to put in a good word with Stockewell. Stockwell invites Brian to play raquetball and Brian wins. Brian says he won't help Ted but uses his wit to get Stockwell to steer away from Ted's case, without telling him that Ted is his friend. Emmet then pleads with Brian to help Ted. Eventually Mel informs Ted that the DA will plead Ted out with a huge fine and he has to shut down his business, an in return Ted won't have to serve any jail time. Justin tells Ethen he was at his concert. Ethen says that the guy he left with was only a music student interested in Ethen's career. Justin plans a romantic evening for them. However, it is interrupted by this guy from Harrisburg that shows up at Ethen's door with roses. Justin confronts Ethen while tearing up the roses with bloody hands. Ethen says he didn't want to hurt Justin and gives him excuses. Justin leaves and is later at the back of Babylon with some guy. Brian sees him and has a guy of his own, but Brian and Justin are watching each other. I hoped they would get together but they didn't. Debbie is in the bathroom talking to who she thinks is Vic in the shower about Ted. However, a stranger comes out who we find out is Vic's new lover Rodney, who is also positive. Mike starts to get weird about Ben and gives him a reality check. They were sleeping together and the condom broke, though Ben hadn't ejaculated Mike tells him to keep going. It is still unclear whether Ben did or not. Mike then finds one of Ben's syringes and tells Ben that he might as well make himself positive, since that is what Ben wants and it might be easier if Mike knows what it's like. Ben says that's not what he wants and stops using the steroids and apologizes. Mike is still mad at him but i think it will blow over. But what about this condom episode, will Mike get tested? Mel and Linze continue to try to get pregnant. Mel is taking a test basically every time she uses the bathroom. She starts to get frustrated when every test is coming out negative. However, Mel wins against mother nature in the end when her last test comes up positive. This is awesome for them! Mike struggles with the fact of whether or not he will be a good enough father, and tells Brian that he doesn't want to just be a drop in father like him. Brian tells him that he'll be a good father because he raised Brian, and look how he turned out. Another great episode. It left me hanging and wanting more as usual. The biggest question, will Brian and Justin get back together?moreless
  • Michael grows up.

Thank god,the moon and the stars above for Hal Sparks!

He and Robert Gant give two of the best performances of thier careers in these two episodes.

Watching Ben go through steroid addiction, after the death of his ex-lover,is one of the most difficult things ever and Robert Gant does it so beautifully.

    Nice bum shots too. LOL!

I've always loved Hal Sparks and the character of Michael.

When he loves someone.it's from the heart. And watching the love of your life destroy himself with drugs is not an easy thing.

If there ever was an episode that showed Michael truly becoming a man and fighting for what he has at any cost, even if that means leaving Ben,this the one.

    BRILLIANT!moreless
  • Good ridance, Ethan!

Thank god Ethan is finally gone. This whole relationship made me mad, and how could Justin cheat on Brian like that in the first place? I do feel bad that Justin was obviously not getting the romance that he longed for, but he knew that from the beginning. Brian has never been anything but honest to Justin, and thank go Ethan messed things up so Justin can be back with Brian, where he belongs. Michael is frustrated because Ben continues to have roid rage and snapps at him because he doesn't know what it's like to have HIV. Brian helps out Ted, though he won't admit it to anyone. He continues to fascinate me on how his mind works. I love the complexity of his character, because you know that he cares about all of his friends, but the last thing that he wants, is for people to know that he has a heart.moreless
