The college tells Justin that he must go in front of the disciplinary board and apologize for jeopardizing the reputation of the school. When he talks to Brian about it, Brian tells him to apologize because he cares about his future, and not to think about it as laying down and giving them what they want. Justin does this, but the school then wants him to apologize to Stockwell. When Justin said he couldn't, the school suspended him. When Justin tells Brian, Brian acts not happy, but then he supports Justin. In the meantime Hunter brings Brian some hard evidence to try to link the cop to killing Jason. Brian tells Carl to test it but he says it's not enough to open the case. Carl tests it and it's a match to Kenneth, the officer. Carl tries to explain to Debbie that if he opens the case he could be a dead man, or at least lose his job and his pension. Debbie still won't budge with Carl. Kenneth was found shot in the head and has been thought to have committed suicide. Now there is nothing to link this to Stockwell, since he was Kenneth's partner for fifteen years and could be covering up the murder. On the other hand, Emmett is being completely mowed over by Ted, who is tweaked out and turned into a crystal queen. Emmett tells Ted that they've been going at it for hours and he needs a rest. Ted tells him to take some more meth but Emmett says no. Ted takes more anyway and freaks on Emmett, demanding that Emmett finish him. Ted later shows up to meet Emmett for lunch though he won't eat anything, and demands that since Emmett feels so above everyone, that he is to throw a perfect party for Ted and six of his friends. I thought it was going to be Mike and everyone, but it turns out to be Mark and everyone. Emmett's theme for the party was crystal, which i thought was awesome. When the drugs and the orgy starts happening right before Emmett, he leaves and stays with Mike. Emmett later goes back and gives Ted a piece of his mind, then pleads with him to stop. Ted tells him to get out in not so nice words. Mel and Linze tell Emmett that he can stay with them, and they make up. Meanwhile Ben and Mike are talking about how they are not getting through to Hunter and maybe he should leave. Hunter overhears this and starts shaping up. He meets with the school and Mike and Ben have a bunch of paper work to fill out. Mike and Ben learn that last week Hunter turned sixteen, so they threw him a surprise party and he got a bunch of cool, and some expensive presents. They told him to make a wish before he blew out the candles on his cake, i wonder what he wished for. Stockwell tells Brian that he acted hastily and that Brian can have Stockwell's backers for his client list. This is obviously because Jim knows something about Brian talking to Kenneth, and wants to keep him silent by making him an offer he can't refuse. However, i think Brian did refuse since we see he and Justin at Woody's later and Brian speaks about how he'll still be unemployed. I can hardly wait to see what is in store for the next episode.moreless
  • You slept with a murderer?

Nearing the time until the election day, Brian still needs to link Stockwell to the cover-up of the murder of Jason Kemp. After talking to Carl, he realizes that he'll need a lot more evidence than a description of the guy and Hunter's word. In an attempt to impress Brian, Hunter has sex with the murderer to collect a DNA sample. Ben and Michael freak out when they find out that Hunter slept with a murderer, and somehow blame it on Brian. Brian always somehow gets blamed for everything, even when he's trying to do the right thing. And Emmett doesn't know where to turn because Ted keeps wanting to do crystal with him while having sex. Ted's about to hit rock bottom soon and Emmett needs to get out while he can. At the end, Justin talks to Brian that sometimes you have to fight for something you believe in, this will play an important part in Brian's decision that he makes next episode.moreless
  • Geez Hunter!

    7.6
    "Good"
While I understand Hunter has had a hard life and some really tough breaks sometimes his actions really scare me. I mean he has this ability to see himself as so indestructible I think he even sometimes forgets he's a kid. Willing to engage in sexual actions with someone who is pretty much a known murdered is so frightening to me and I am only watching it. I am impressed with how willing he is to get to goods but that being said he seriously seems to have some kind of death wish.

However, it seems he has found a great family in Ben and Michael. And it looks like he see's it, too. Going through the motions to change his life and maybe stop this hustler routine.

Brian's willingness to chase after this murder suspect gets a little frightening, too. Physical as well. I mean it made me jump a little.

I love how this show continues to bring things back. They don't just leave story lines in the dust, they bring them to an end. Some shows resolve things to quickly or leave things open ended but not Queer as Folk. We get closure.moreless

    • Justin: So, it's over? Brian: Yeah, it's over. Justin: No? Brian: This time next week Stockwell will be mayor and I'll be collecting unemployment. Justin: Well, I will be on the street, paddling my a** or my art, whichever makes more money. Brian: Well, don't spend too much on framing. Justin: They suspended me. Oh, don't look so disappointed. You don't have to pay for my education anymore. Brian: I thought you were going to apologize. Justin: I did apologize. But then they wanted me to apologize to him and I couldn't. I couldn't say "I'm sorry" to someone who would rather see me dead, all of us dead, than be part of his family friendly world. Brian: So you sacrificed everything? Justin: Sometimes you have to for what you believe in.

    • Brian: The f***er didn't show up Justin: We can go back tomorrow night. I'll dress up like a hustler, we can try again. Brian: You looked hot. Justin: This is gonna cost you a hundred dollars. Brian: We were just pretending, remember? Justin: Maybe you were.

    • Michael: Well, if it isn't Little Mary Sunshine Emmett: Little Mary Sunshine died. I'm Little Mary Go Fuck Yourself.

    • This and the previous episode were the only two times where Hunter and Justin are seen together,so far.Hunter's mean spirited tone of voice toward Justin might be the reason why.
