Dear VCD Laurie,
I recorded these two episodes of "Quincy's Wedding" sometime in March 1990 when I lived in Hudson, MA. The episodes were run on WJAR-TV Channel 10 in Providence, RI. I played both VHS tapes and they are still of very good quality. I might transfer them to DVD so as to permanently preserve them. Dr. Emily Hanover (his fiancee) had a pretty voice, too.
Here are the vows "she sang" to Quincy: I promise you an honest love, not a fairy tale
for without truth and honesty love is soon to fail.
I promise you the single tear that says come close to me,
But other times I'll ask of you the strength to _______?
I promise you the quiet nights the gentle touch by candle light,
I'll tell you things ______? no one before but you must accept in me the doubts
and insecurities, for in those times I need you even more.
I promise you an even love that time can never change
And in your eyes I see that you have promised me the same....
And in your eyes I see that you have promised me the same.
As you can see there are two, maybe three words that she did not enunciate properly. I ran my tapes back and forth close to a dozen times, but just could not pick out the exact words or even a decent guess. I have asked my wife to listen as another person can often herar things differently. I will work at finding out the exact verses for you and all other Quincy, M.E. fans.
You are welcomed to email me at: pvbattaglia@rare-coins.com if you wish....thinking of making a DVD of his wedding and wanted to offer you the option.
Much thanks for your patience. I travel and it eats up a lot of my free time, but I ALSO KEEP MY PROMISES.
Paul
