Instead of the USUAL loud mouth Quincy trying to id an unkown victium and fighting for justice in a noble/lost cause, you get this. Cracked Magazine did a spoof one cartoon of Quincy lying on his own dissecting table-he died of exhasutian trying to be the entire LAPD!

    • This episode was in fact a pilot episode for a spinoff show to be called The Cutting Edge which would have starred Barry Newman, who would play "the head of a hospital with a staff made up of the finest equipment to handle the kind of cases that others have considered hopeless."

This may explain the lack of many of the supporting cast and the relativley small amount of screen time for Jack Klugman. Anita Gillette was also to be in the series.

    • Strange last episode, of all the regulars that are credited at the begining of this episode, Only Quincy, Emily and ED the photographer appear.

Also, when the woman lab technicial is playing chess with the computer, there are two computer sounds that have come straight from the Dig Dug arcade game which was released in 1982
