Jamie Grover is an only child who has always wanted out from the constant attention her parents give her. Her wish is finally granted when she finds out her mother is pregnant, but when she turns out to have quintuplets, Jamie's life changes in ways she had never imagined. She discovers she might not want the same things her parents want for her, but nonetheless, her parents focus all of their attention on her baby brothers and sisters. But when one of her brothers gets terribly ill she discovers that she really doesn't mind the babies, and that she does have the courage to let her parents know she has dreams of her own.
I remember this movie from when I was still in college. I watched it a lot with my little sister. We both enjoyed it together.
Jamie was a teenage girl who was trying to please her parents, but since she was the center of their lives, she felt as if she couldn't give them what they wanted. Then, they have five new babies, and she is finally able to do what she wants with her life. Then, her parents start to focus too much on her brothers and sisters, and Jamie feels left out.
I guess what she wanted was some attention. She didn't want all the attention, but she didn't want to feel left out. I think we all need just the right amount of attention from people we love.
Quints was like my favorite movie when I was younger. I used to count down the days until it was on, and I must admit I still like it, even if I am a teenager. I think this movie had a great message for kids/pre-teens/teens and it is not appreciated enough! I also think that the general stroy line was interesting, although a few parts are a little cheesy. The only thing I don't like is one of my favorite books is Sister of the Quints, and whenever I tell people that they always think that this movie was based off of that book, but it wasn't. Either way I love Quints and I think Disney should show it more!
