Ian Patterson has excelled himself. He has retained the "charm" of Rab and his long suffering wife Mary Rogue Jamsie and Ella, whilst being able to bring them right up to present day.
Whilst its disappointing that the original "Gash" has not returned, I am sure his replacement will do well.
It is in no way dated and the dialogue is as witty and as sharp as ever.
There have been mistakes made over the years in bringing back well loved programmes that do not stand the test of time. Rab C is absolutely not the case.
