  • Rab's back and as brilliant as ever in 2010

    Ian Patterson has excelled himself. He has retained the "charm" of Rab and his long suffering wife Mary Rogue Jamsie and Ella, whilst being able to bring them right up to present day.

    Whilst its disappointing that the original "Gash" has not returned, I am sure his replacement will do well.

    It is in no way dated and the dialogue is as witty and as sharp as ever.

    There have been mistakes made over the years in bringing back well loved programmes that do not stand the test of time. Rab C is absolutely not the case.

    This show was a vehicle for show-casing well-established Scottish actors.

    Satirical in nature, the comedic script made a lot of clever political digs, as well as questioning the lot in life, of those in society we usually prefer not to mix with. If you can get your head around the invented language of Middle Earth in Tolkein, you have no excuse for not uderstanding the Scot's dialect used in this show.
