Virginia and Burt encourage Jimmy to make up a girlfriend in order to make Sabrina jealous in order to shake up her relationship with Wyatt. While attending a class with Barney, Jimmy meets Mary-Louise who then agrees to play along with his plot until the entire thing starts blowing up in Jimmy's face.

One of the greatest things I've ever watched on TV

I can't stress how much I enjoyed this episode. I really like this show, but I was swept away. In a world where cynicism is the norm, it was so, so refreshing to watch something this cute and sweet. I loved everything about it: the writing, the acting, the music... First time I actually felt compelled about buying the DVD, and I most definitely will.

The Best Show of the Series

This episode is one of the best of any sitcom I have seen. If you are at all a fan, you will know the set up that Jimmy is pining away for Sabrina, but Sabrina has had a boyfriend for the entire season. There is nothing new there, but this episode (and I won't give anything away with spoilers) is a defining moment in how to handle a "stock" scenario with aplomb. The characters are rich, the plot is tight and it is filled with the right touch of heart and sappiness to strike the perfect note to a Valentines Day episode.moreless
