This episode was good because it diverts from the first three episodes in that a defendant actually loses. Not straying from the regular pattern, there are two cases going on in this episode. Richie's case may seem to be more compelling on the surface because it involves a murder, the outcome was transparent throughout the episode. Nobody was going to convict an honest, hard working man of killing a criminal who was robbing him. On the other hand, Jerry had the more difficult case of trying to defend a client who was being pressed by the NYC police to testify at another murder trial. But in the end, the lady screws herself by not following Jerry's advice, and lying to the police. Maybe she wouldnt have so many problems if she didnt have a criminal record for larceny and drug abuse. In any event, I dont think Jerry had a shot of winning this one.
