  • While this episode is okay...it seems to be just a lot of filler.

    6.0
First of all - I prefer Annette Andre's character to Judith Arty's. I just don't think the love interest chemistry works at all. That being said...the whole premise of Marty being afraid to go upstairs to investigate is a bit hokey. In the previous episode he had a run-in with a clairvoyant who could see him, and also in the "Murder Ain't What It Used To Be" episode he has a run-in with an older, more experienced ghost. This episode seems like it should have been ordered before those two to show a progression in his "ghost-awareness" (for lack of a better phrase). Also, the two plot lines are worlds apart, but get thrown together by the most paper thin of happenings. A chance meeting of the Marston Manor client and Jeff at the office is just too good to be true ;-)

The bottom line is, that the whole shebang would have been over and done with if Marty had gone upstairs, seen the machine and the gang. His "fear" of a bigger ghost as a plot device for the episode was very unnecessary.moreless
