Good question. Since drinking hot water when you're in your changed form (and vice versa) doesn't change you back, I'm assuming that drinking cursed water wouldn't do anything, either.

Well, I am female so for the sake of choosing something different than what I am I'd have to say 'the spring of drowned man'. I really wouldn't want to be any type of animal, but being a guy could be advantageous at times.

Gaara169 - You are crazy awesome for posting all that detail!

    here's my question :

how hot does the water have to be to turn them back?

and there was an episode i think were ranma dreamed that in the future ryouga and akane were married and all their children had the same curse as ryouga it made me wonder if the curse was hereditary (most mythical curses tend to be ...)

It doesn't have to be boiling hot, but more of lukewarm. If you notice, a normal bath can change them, so I'd say somewhere in the 80 degree F range.

That episode was filler, it doesn't really count. Also, if you read the Herb saga,

Yes, but if you recall, those crow-bodies were their natural forms. Being splashed with cold water turns them into "normal" humans. So, in a way, they did inherit the crow curse, but it mixed with their genes, and was reversed. That's not the nature of a Jusenkyo curse.

I'm a bit confused...they desperately search for Spring of Drowned Man, right? True the problem wouldn't be so big...but wouldn't that give them the form of the man that drowned there? For example, I have to cite the manga (sorry for those of you who might not have read it. This is a spoiler...): the bird creature's captain throws Akane in the spring to drown her and takes her form from that. So wouldn't you be a copy of whatever was drowned there? (but then, the Spring of Drowned Twins seems to make you into twins....it's rather confusing to me).

Try reading post #15. You don't necessarily have to take the EXACT form of the being that drowned, but it has to be obvious of what drowned that makes that spring different from a related/similar spring.

Like what would happen if Happosai got splash with the spring of drowned twins. I mean if both or one got hit by hot water would they merge back into one ? or not. All comments are welcome anything about Jusenkyo.

Probably in the spring of the drowned dog, of any spring with a bird, except for the drowned goose.

I think it would have easier if they put that the characters like Ranma change into a girl with hot water and a boy with cold water. But that really won't be as exciting like the other way around

I'd hope for Spring of Drowned Raccoon, Fox, or Penguin.

    Why?

    Raccoon: More furry/cute.

    Fox: more stealthy.

Pengun: can swim better than human form.

no because that girl who threw akane in th spring chose for it to be called the spring of drowned akane so that when she went in it herself she would turn into akane everytime he was splashed with cold water
