Episode Summary

Old Musica works on the Sword as an impatient Haru looks on. Musica is found outside Lance's house and manages to defeat the Shadow Guard. Inside, Lance's patience is wearing thin. Just as he is about to eliminate Elie, Musica arrives. Musica and Bis battle only to have Musica outwit the powerful, but, intellectually challenged Bis. While finishing the sword, Old Musica tells Haru of his tragic secret. This isn't the only sword that he created. He also made the sword that Lance now uses. The very sword Lance used to destroy Old Musica's entire family. The old blacksmith makes Haru promise to destroy that evil sword.moreless

    Remember that old man that claimed to be Musica? And that there's also another Musica, who leads the Silver Rythym group? Well, it turns out that they're both Musica! The blacksmith Musica decides to fix Haru's sword after all in an hour, just before the two hour deadline when Lance planned to kill Elie. Silver Rythym Musica though goes on ahead just to check up on things. He discovers that Lance's wolves that come out of his sword are just illusions. But he gets knocked down anyways because the wolves distracted him. During the fight, Lance realizes the deadline is up, and walks towards Elie with the intent to kill. Haru though blocks the attack, and battles him, exploiting that the illusions can only be fully initiated if the sword is swung all the way down. However, the episode ends as Lance has another illusion up his sleeves.

    The pacing for the episodes so far is great. It's not totally one sided in terms of content. In other animes, one episode is fully devoted to the character's past and their development, while the very next episode, it's all action. Rave Master has mixed things up quite a bit, which is pleasing. The episode started off with another flashback from Haru as he watched Musica fix his sword. His hometown was destroyed by Demon Card, and one of his friends reveals that his dad left them in order to demolish Darkbring by finding Rave. Later on, Musica also reveals to Haru that the sword he created for Lance was responsible for the death of his entire family. Great episode is all I can say.moreless

    • When musica walks up the Lance's chamber a shadow guard sticks a gun to his head, musica then punches his face really fast, in the original he punches the shadow guards face and keeps his fist in his cheek for five seconds (Resulting in the messed up face from his fist) Edit
    • After Musica punches the shadow guard in the face he walks up to the main entrance of Lances chamber, then 10 shadow guards are waiting for him, Tokyopop re-uses the scenes where Haru and Musica are fighting Bizes men in episode 3 (Haru is cut out of it and only Musica fighting is shown) Musica says something about school class and getting an A plus and other weird things? In the original he just walks up to them and then the scene where Elie and Lance is shown. Edit
