As Gale falls into a trap, Haru dives down to follow him. They both somehow live, and are finding a way to escape from the piles of rubble that blanket the outside world. When they make contact with some light, the tower once again collapses on them. Gale decided to shield Haru from all the rubble, which caused his death. Before passing away, Gale tells Haru that he's sorry he's not able to keep his promise to Cattleya of coming back to Garage Island, and says he's happy to sacrifice himself in order to protect his son. Everyone mourns over the death of Gale Glory. Haru decides to bury him in Rabarrier rather than in Garage Island in order to prevent his sister from being upset. While sleeping, Gale went into Haru's dream, showing him the three different options he can choose from that point; go back to Garage Island, find Elie's memory, or find Rave. He chooses them all.

This was another really nice episode. I just hope Rave Master doesn't go back to being the cliched and mediocre shounen it was before the Jin Tower arc. Not only is the story progressing nicely with depth surrounding it, but in terms of character depth and philosophy, it's becoming great. I really liked the scene when Gale Glory explains to Haru about the stars, and how that a human being's life a billion time's shorter than a star. He then goes on saying that because we live a short life, that we should filter all the bad memories and concentrate only on the good ones. I just hope the quality and depth keeps this up.

As Elle, Plue, and Let safely exist the Tower of Din, Haru and Gale end up becoming trapped from a floor collapse. Haru and his father are separated but work together to come together. They speak of Cat and memories. When they finally end up in the same room, Haru begins to have trouble breathing--Gale too. Haru tells his father that he hated him all of the years he didn't write to either his children. Gail explains there was no way he could speak of what had happened between him and King, and he knew that if he had sent a letter, Haru would have gone after him. With that, and Haru word of he'd have done anything, Haru collapses. Gale picks up a stone and begins smashing it against the rocks above them. Light shines through--they have air.
Gail tells story then the memory of the stars--that all of lifes memories from beginning to present are in the stars. They finally get out of their jail under the tower. Gail knows Haru has no strength to move and sees the Tower of Din crumbling around them. Gail puts himself over Haru and tells him that even though he promised Cat of his return, Haru was the one who would need to return; he told Haru he was proud of him. With tears from Haru and emotions that none could explain, Gail gave up his own life so his son could live on and complete his destiny.
After that, Remi and her brother spoke of their victory over the monsters, but their hearts still ached for Haru fought so bravely but lost his father. Elle would later go and sit with Haru while at his father's gravesite. While they are conversing, a picture flies out his dad's jacket pocket. Haru catches it and notices it's the one in his room. On the back is his dad's handwriting, and he thinks back to when Gail had firt heard about the Shadow Guard's uprising--buying their matching necklaces. He falls into Elle's arms and cries allowed, knowing what had happened to his father was not fair.
