So it off starts where the first episode left off; Haru and Elie are making their escape from the town. But the Demon Cards have established blockades to prevent anyone from exiting without a fee. When trying to avoid the blockades, Haru and Elie acidentally fall into the sewers, where they meet Hole, a mole esque person that digs underground in order to help people escape the town without paying the fee. Some guy named Shyuda finds them, captures Hole and uses her as a hostage. He had the power to create and manipulate flames. He was too much for Haru, and it seems like our hero was going to die, until Plue intervenes, distracting Shyuda, which helped Haru destroy the darkbeing. Shyuda retreats as he finds out Haru is the son of Gale. Soon after they left, Hole goes back to her tunnel digging activities, and Elie tells Haru she's looking for something. Her memory. Haru, being the pimp he is, offers to aid her in her search.
I'm already liking this series. The feel and atmosphere reminds me of Inuyasha, which I also really liked. Some stuff during the course of the episode seemed kind of nonsensical, but overall that's what made the episode enjoyable. And did anyone else think One Piece when they saw this episode, as well as the first? Hopefully Rave Master will match up to its quality (at least the unedited and superior Japanese version). I'm also pumped up to know the origins and history behind Haru and his father.moreless
