  • Gil Favor--Father Figure

This is a great episode where we see Gil Favor's fatherly side. Having delivered the beeves to Sedalia, Favor heads for Philadelphia to visit his two daughters. When he arrives the oldest girl is emotionally distraught at the sight of her father. Over the course of the episode the problem is solved and in the end everything turns out fine (or course).

Favor is tough with the men on the cattle and many men would find it hard to shift gears to deal with children. But Gil comes through with a tenderness that breaks through the emotional issues the older girl has and wins her back to her old self. It's a great episode.
