Episode starts out one way and then turns another. This episode focused mainly on Gil Favor and Pete Nolan as they investigate a woman's claim that her husband is being held prisoner six years after the Civil War ended by a certain former confederate officer. As Mr Favor and Pete gain the officer's confidence and the story starts taking a few twists and along the way revealing a few shocking details. This specific episode illustrates why I keep watching this show. It has a great story coupled with a few great actors. All and all this episode comes together quite well! Even after 50 years this show still exhibits great drama and story with great actors.moreless

    • Gil Favor: Dependin' on where you come from, you call steers brush splitters, cactus boomers, critters, rawhides, scalawags, or baccas. The drovers whose job it is to get 'em where they're goin' call 'em beeves. I'm one of those drovers. We've been pushin' this herd for almost five hundred miles, and it's still nearly twice that to Sedalia, Missouri. My name's Gil Favor, trail boss.
