Reading Rainbow

Season 8 Episode 4

Florence and Eric Take the Cake

Aired Weekdays 2:30 PM Sep 13, 1990 on PBS

  • Trivia

    • One key mistake with the statue of LeVar Burton in his Reading Rainbow mode is that he was put in a studio set. And of course, Reading Rainbow was the classic homeless children's series. If they used anything for a "set," they used the City of New York.

  • Quotes

    • LeVar: When one thing looks exactly like something else, it can lead to some pretty silly situations.

    • LeVar: (Looking at his wax double) I've always heard that two heads are better than one, but this is ridiculous!

  • Notes

    • Julia Child, who narrated the feature book in this episode, was the host of another show which aired on PBS, The French Chef.
