A weekly primetime newsmagazine that profiled funny, human interest stories. Instead of featuring celebrities, "Real People" searched out humorous individuals, situations and events that highlighted the common man. This landmark show inspired many copycats from the same era ("That's Incredible" & "Not Necessarily the News") to today ("America's Funniest Home Videos" & "The Daily Show").moreless

Now, if memory serves me correct, this show ran along with Sesamee Street, way back in the late 70s to help improve the inner city schools with educating minorities, and poor folk kids. This show was in black & white, ethnicly diversed, live animals (Nigal the snake) and cartoons that did educational things like math, numbers. Much like her rival (S street) there were lots of different things that helped pick up where schools lacked or left off. Unlike her rival (S Street) there were no puppets and things, and a very short life !

Personally, I think this show was as good, and important as S street. I remember watching this program in the mornings on saturday (6am) with the old tube tv, with the b/w snow screen with lots of skip. . Don't remember seeing it for long. Always wondered what happened to this program? But life goes on and dead things are remembered. I think I'm the only one who remembers this short lived program. The fact thats in listed here makes me NOT CRAZY!moreless
