Don't worry about the no response. I haven't gotten one either. I'm sure if everyone else wants Reaper, they'll want it too But to give you a serious answer: we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. I know we'll figure something out. There's already someone who puts them up on youtube, and you would not believe how many people rip it for illegal download. It's also possible ABC/Disney would have a site that would upload it for streaming - I don't think they're Hulu, but I do believe they are working on Hulu-like site of their own. But someone posted today their response and apparently ABC/Disney is trying to sell a FULL season! Nick C. confirmed it would be 22 episodes. Keep writing!

ETA: OMG Jenny Wade posted on Nick's blog too! She emailed in as well! Between Tyler's rants, Bret's twitters, and Tara Butters personally pm'ing me, this is crazy.

We have also received feedback that if successful, Reaper will have a 22 episode run, and not 18 or 13.

While all affiliates are important, Nick C. is now hearing that the TX stations are interested in Reaper. His exact twitter words: "Go after them."

If you live in TX, please contact your local affiliates. They are owned by Tribune, and are two of their largest markets.

    The 33 (KDAF-TV, Dallas-Fort Worth): http://www.the33tv.com/about/station/contactus/

    KIAH TV (Houston) http://www.39online.com/about/station/contactus/

All other affiliates listed here: http://www.cwtv.com/stations

If you get a response, please let me know. We want you to forward it to a certain person at ABC Studios. Thanks.

    When should we know by?

Also, if the Tribune's CW's pick it up, won't the rest follow suit because those are the major ones?

Nick C. is estimating this week, but honestly - with my luck, who knows. We're getting word we need to attack the Sinclair group too.

Wdpender's response - don't forget to check out the thread as a whole too, there are tons of ideas. We're also advocating writing your local entertainment reporter, and you might find the address in the thread.

Honestly, I thought I'd known stress before. This, however, eclipses it.

Okay, we are also getting word that the Sinclair owned affiliates are important too:

The Sinclair Broadcast group owns multiple TV stations, including CW affiliates. List here: http://www.sbgi.net/business/all.shtml

In: Minneapolis, Baltimore, Raleigh-Durham, Nashville, Oklahoma City, Milwaukee, Birmingham-Tuscaloosa AL, and Las Vegas

The idea is the same as with the Tribune Corp. Write to your local affiliate (the links are at the Sinclair page above) AND to Sinclair Broadcasting which is http://www.sbgi.net/. Click on the link that says Contact Us from the home page.

    From Nick:

    http://nickctv.wordpress.com/2009/05/29/reaper-fans-email-spike-tv

REAPER Fans: Email SPIKE & SCI-FI (Or is ABC Trying To Double Dip?)

Just trust me on this, spam them today. Well not with spam, but legit "please pick up REAPER if you can," emails. Mention your age and cable provider.

Update: Ok, from what I'm hearing the CW affiliates are interested but there has been no formal offer as yet. Why? Well it appears the guys and gals over at Alphabet Studios are trying to sell the show's previous 2 seasons into syndication first. Why? Well it appears they are trying to pull what was pulled on USA with BONES: repeats + repeat of new show that aired only weeks earlier. The targets of that syndication deal are SPIKE & SCI-FI. Once they have that deal in place, the affiliates will get their offer.

So the good news is that fans of REAPER who don't live in an area with an affiliate that picks it up will get the opportunity to catch it on cable shortly after the original airing. It's not a bad business plan, and is likely what it would take to keep the show under its present budget.

6/1/2009 Get. Reaper. Sold. Tell ABC to Offer Reaper to the Affiliates NOW!

    http://nickctv.wordpress.com/2009/06/01/reaper-still-lives

REAPER is still not dead. I'm told by multiple sources that the cast and crew have still to be formally let go from their contracts. The Affiliates have yet to be officially offered the show....

Which means SPIKE and SCI-FI still haven't said "No." So double or triple your efforts. The tock is clicking.

EVERYONE - WHETHER YOU HAVE WRITTEN BEFORE OR NOT!!!!! DO NOT LET ABC LET THIS OPPORTUNITY SLIP AWAY!

Contact ABC Studios and politely encourage them to offer the show to the affiliates! We know they want Reaper! Click here to contact ABC.

Contact SPIKE and SCI-FI and encourage them to purchase Reaper! Click here to get email addresses.

Contact your CW affiliate and encourage them to keep Reaper on the air! Click here to find your affiliate.

Need other ideas? Check out the following posts: Are you in an area owned by Tribune or Sinclair? and Make your own personal petition.

    I hope it's true..........

However it looks like Jenny Wade (Nina) is commited to Body Politics, which would suck as she became one of my favourite characters But better to have Reaper without her then no Reaper at all.....

I cannot tell you how depressed I was to get dinner ready, sit down for the telly, turn on CW and see another "bride from **** whipped boyfriend" show. They didn't even replace our beloved show with something watchable, just a sad, fourth rate ripoff of ten different Oxygen/WE dreck-fests. I wanted to cry. I couldn't even eat. I look forward to "Reaper" all week. In the spirit of Jericho's peanuts, let's each send a single SOCK..for our boy WYSOCKI, of course ! I spent 16 years working in radio and TV programming. I know what gets their attention We must keep this simple and uniform. We must send the exact same thing, and get it to them in a volume that is unmanagable in there mail room. HUGE volumes. It is essential we all do the same thing, keep it simple, don't get creative; no garbage bags full of 'em. They need to see one person, a million times. Not a million socks from 100 people, and they know the difference. This is what I ask you do. Three people in my house have already done it. Here is what we should do to get our show back. DELUGE CW with light colored SOCKS each in a single envelope. GET ONE WHITE OR LIGHT COLORED SOCK. WRITE "REAPER" ON ONE SIDE, AND YOUR NAME, THE CITY YOU LIVE IN AND THE CALL LETTERS AND CHANNEL THAT YOU WATCH "REAPER" ON. DO NOT WRITE ANYTHING ELSE ON THE SOCK, AND DO NOT PUT ANYTHING ELSE IN THE ENVELOPE. PUT IT IN AN ENVELOPE, SEAL IT AND APPLY RETURN ADDRESS AND A SINGLE 42 CENT STAMP AND SEND TO: Reaper Attn: Dawn Ostroff CW Network 3300 W. Olive Avenue Burbank, CA 91505

I'm going to have to disagree about the socks campaign. It's kinda a waste of resources, and is pretty much too late to do anyways.

Having said that, however, we have received word through several sources that ABC/Disney sent letters to the CW affiliates stating Reaper had been sold to cable, and (most likely) won't be available for purchase.

Nick C. has spent a great deal of the afternoon trying to track down what is going on. Jenny Wade tweeted news today that she had good news, but she also was not getting all the details either. She did add that from her sources it was likely SciFi that got the show.

However, it has since been confirmed that neither SyFy or SpikeTV has purchased the show. In the mean time, ABC is keeping its lips shut. It is looking like an official announcement will be made tomorrow as to the fate of Reaper.

As a reminder, absolutely nothing I have written has been confirmed by OFFICIAL sources. So please keep writing in, especially to ABC. When we have official details, please be assured that will be up immediately.

Please stay tuned, and hope for the best. No matter what happens though, we put up a good fight and I am very proud of our fandom. Feel free to join us at ReaperDMV if you want the most up-to-date information. Thank you.

We are still recommending writing, especially to ABC and your local CW affiliate. If you've written before, we're now recommending you do so again.

    All addresses here: http://community.livejournal.com/reaperdmv/49763.html

Still no official word, and rumors are going nuts at this point. What we *do* know beyond all the dramarama is that ABC/Disney DID contact the affiliates about Reaper, but so far has NOT offered them a contract. Some reporters are aware of this story - including James Hibberd of The Live Feed (Hollywood Reporter). So hopefully something soon, and hopefully good news. Keep your fingers crossed, but don't stop writing in.

Ok this is from my blackberry so excuse any typos (or more than normal).

I hear they are hunting down a showrunner which is a good sign it is still kicking.

Abc family and tbs are good targets for emails. It is going to be cable. I just can't find out where until saturday.

Okay, the hell with it. I'm just gonna blanket all of cabledom. Be sure to include your (and anyone else in your household that watches) age, M/F, address, and cable provider if applicable. International fans, let ABC know there's a solid overseas market for the show!:

ONE LAST PUSH FOR A NEW SEASON: As of this moment we need to assume that ALL of the cast and crew of Reaper have been let go of their contracts. Since this presumably happened on Friday, the window to rectify this is closing fast, and we need to address it RIGHT now. Opening of business is Monday morning.

Thereby, our immediate goals are to inform ABC and ABC Studios that we still: * Support the show. * Believe there is a demand for the show. * Encourage them to re-sign the cast and crew immediately. * Encourage them to offer a contract for the show to syndication (or cable) immediately.

This will most likely be our last opportunity to make a Major Push for a 2009/2010 Season Three, before we will have to move to more long-term goals, such as a 2010/2011 season, movie, or graphic novels. That later. For now, go to http://reaperdmv.com/ for links, addresses, and details! Why not, people? What do we have to lose?

We need receipts for our Reaper Receipt 1000 campaign. If you've bought the DVDs recently, please consider sending us a scanned copy. We're gathering them to get kick ABC's butt in gear so that they'll *finally* offer a contract to the waiting CW affiliates.

    savereaper@yahoo.com

Make sure to include your name, address, age, and M/F.

You can also snail mail them, we have a PO address. Just ask and I'll give it to you.
