Show Summary

Being a single mom in today's world is a daunting task. For Reba Hart (Reba McEntire), parenthood encompasses not only watching over three kids, but also keeping an eye on a son-in-law, a granddaughter, an ex-husband and an ex-husband's neurotic wife. 'Reba' began with the Hart family in the midst of a divorce as Texas soccer mom Reba watched her white-picket-fenced world collapse before her very eyes. Her dentist husband, Brock(Christopher Rich), left her after what she thought was 20 happy years of marriage for his impossibly perky and unfortunately pregnant dental hygienist, Barbra Jean (Melissa Peterman). The cherry on top of this bitter sundae was the pregnancy of Reba's then 17-year-old daughter Cheyenne (JoAnna Garcia) and her decision to marry her high school football star boyfriend, Van (Steve Howey). Rounding out the happy brood is teenage Kyra(Scarlett Pomers), who continues to greet puberty with venom, and son Jake (MitchHolleman).

THEME SONG: "I'm A Survivor" performed by Reba McEntire. It can be found on Reba's CD, Greatest Hits Volume 3

"My roots are planted in the past Though my life is changing fast Who I am is who I want to be A single mom who works too hard Who loves her kids and never stops With gentle hands and the heart of a fighter I'm a survivor."

The series is produced by Twentieth Century Fox and is filmed in Century City, California.

"single mother who work too hard,

who loves her kids + never stops.

A gentle hand, with the heart of a fighter...

      I'M A SURVIVOR....

What is not to like about this part of the song, that is so realistic. sorry i love it.

The season 1 through about season 3 or 4

the song was at first not good(They clearly change it up a bit if you are listening closely. the Music arrangement was totally diff during the last few seasons, from like season 4, 5 and

      LOVE IT.

and i love brock and reba. They played a realistic ex-married couple very well.

I love,as i re-watch now as each weekend on TV LAND, i love Tall Blonde-ditzy,but loveable Barbara Jean!

I am not sure though how old BJ is suppose to be? Some say only 22 that is not feasible,so i'm guessing

late 20s or sure do not look early 20s,even if reba say,"she is 1/2 brock age,not possible.

      LOVE THE SHOW!

    • Supporting Cast Wrecked It

      1.0
This show was FAR FAR from being "The best comedy of all times" !!! . and All In The Family and "Everybody Loves Raymond" and "Sanford & Son" and "The Cosby Show" are up there for that category.

Reba herself was good, the supporting cast, NOT SO MUCH !!! Melissa Peterman was terrible, I should say the character and the so called "Comedy Writers" were TERRIBLE !! Reba's son in law character was stupid too, what did he have for experience in acting, ONE MONTH??? Too Bad there are still networks that put "Reba" almost all day long.

If Reba had a good supporting cast with some real comedy actors and descent comedy writers, it would have appealed to many more people who were not just country music lovers & huge Reba fans !!!

No wonder lousy & stupid comedies like "Seinfeld" & "The Big Bang Theory" & way too many others !!

"Reba" show is FAR from having CLEVER AND REALISTIC COMEDY !!!moreless
    • Woooo!

I love everything about REBA, but the theme song (for me) wasn't that great.
    • I love it

      9.5
I loved the show only thing I didn't like was the opening music , other then that I would have loved to see what happened to the daughters if Reba ever remarried & how can anyone forget barber jean she had me cracking up during treatment when I'm watching it .
