  • In this episode, Cheyenne is urging Van to go to church and he is making excuses on why not to go. Reba tries to get out of Van why he won't go, and he tells her he does not believe in God. She then goes to the Reverend to find out how to help Van.moreless

Wow! This episode is probably one of my favorites. I love the show in it's entirety, but this episode is fantastic. Van blurts out that he doesn't want to go to church because he doesn't believe in God. Of course, Reba is furious and takes him to the Reverend. The reverend, though, handled the situation wonderfully. I loved when he told her that he can't help someone who doesn't want help. My favorite part of the show was at the end when Reba is walking out the door to go to church and she says to Van that she doesn't think that he doesn't believe in God, she just thinks he is mad at God. I really believe, being a christian myself, that in reality a lot of people feel the same way. They say they don't believe in Him, but most people are upset because of circumstances they have endured during their lifetime. Reba was remarkable when she tells Van that she was once mad at God too, but that she learned that God waits on us when we are mad at him. The truth, in all its honor, was laid out for each and every person at that moment. Great job! That is something we all need to hear, believer or not. We all will go through things we don't understand, but keeping our faith in God is what will get us through it. I have loved Reba McEntire since I was a little girl, and seeing her do this show is great, but moreso, I see the role she plays, and the beliefs that she has, and that in itself is a blessing.moreless
  • When Van doesn't believe in God, Reba goes to find out why.

This was a great episode. But I am puzzled. You know in the episode when Kyra goes missing? Van was going to church. Why doesn\'t he believe in God? I don\'t get it. This overall was a good episode. I reccomend it to anyone who loves Reba. It isn\'t the best epi but it is good. It is funny when the minister loves Reba anmd Barbara Jean gets mad. It was very well written. I love this episode. WHo ever watches this episode will not be disappointed. If you do watch it, then watch it. It is a great episode.moreless

If I'm not mistaken, Van really didn't play the fool this time around, we see a different Van which was Great for a change, even though the goofy Van is much better!!!

This episode was Good but not Great for me, it just seemed like a filler episode and Barbra Jean seemed out of character to me, as a matter of fact this whole season so far she seemed out of character!!! I personally prefer the old Barbra Jean to this new one there trying to shove on us and I hope they make that change before its too late!!!moreless
  • The episode was all right, sort of....

    5.0
This espisode had some of the qualities that have made "Reba" one of my favorite shows, but it was a disappointment. The story line was good but the dialogue seemed forced and not laid back as in previous seasons. I don't care much for the way the character Van is. He has lost a lot of his sensitive charm. He seems more arrogant than the unsure Van we have grown to love. Reba, Brock and Barbara Jean seem to always be forcing their lines and being angry or overly emotional. It was in line with Barbara Jean to think the preacher liked her but I didn't think it was in character for her to slap him on the bottom. This show has lost its sweetness and that makes me sad. I don't know if the problem is with the writers or the director, but I do see a problem. I wish that good shows would be true to the formula that made them a success instead of changing like "Reba" has.moreless
