When Buzzard guesses that Jake is five, and Jake then corrects him and says, "I'm eleven." it is a small inside joke towards one of the writers, Kevin Abbot. He has often joked that he finds himself writing the character of Jake as a five-year-old, rather than the age he actually is.

When Reba is talking to Cheyenne alone in the kitchen, Cheyenne's hair is draped across the front of her shoulders. As the scene switches back and forth between two angles, her hair randomly alternates between this look and her hair hanging down her back.
