EDIT

Episode Summary

Van and Cheyenne, who is nearing her due date and having trouble moving around, are excited about their upcoming graduation day. They tell Brock, BJ and Reba they want to be in the delivery room alone because it's about time they take responsibility for things. Reba's hurt but takes the news in stride. Principal Hodges stops by and hands Cheyenne her diploma, assuming Cheyenne is too pregnant to attend the ceremony. It's obvious Principal Hodges just wants to avoid the embarrassment of a pregnant teen at graduation. Cheyenne stands up for herself and says she'll be at the ceremony and hands back the diploma. On the morning of graduation day Kyra notices Cheyenne is acting a little funny. She figures out Cheyenne's in labor but promises not to say anything because Cheyenne is intent on getting her diploma in person. At the ceremony, just as Reba figures out what's going on, Cheyenne is about to walk across the stage. Suddenly the contractions get to be too much so Van carries her across and announces they're having a baby. At the hospital Cheyenne screams for her mother so Reba gets to be in the delivery room. Reba holds her granddaughter for the first time and sings a lullaby.moreless

In this episode, Cheyenne and Van are about to graduate high school. Mrs. Hodge comes over and tries to give Cheyenne her diploma so that she can skip the ceremony. Cheyenne doesn't accept it, and tells her she wants to recieve on stage like everyone else. Later Van and Cheyenne are talking to Brock and BJ, and tells them that they'd prefer that they didn't have any visitors in the room when Cheyenne's giving birth. Reba tells them that it's a good idea because they'll be able to concentrate better if it's just the 3 of them. They tell her that they meant they didn't want her either. This causes Reba to flashback to the first time Cheyenne told Reba she wanted to do something on her own. On graduation day Kyra notices Cheyenne's in labor, and Cheyenne asks her not to tell anyone because she wants to get her diplomia. Kyra agrees not to tell. Reba flashes back to Cheyenne's first day of Kindergarten. At graduation, Reba notices Cheyenne's in labor, and flashes back to when she was in labor with Cheyenne. They rush Cheyenne to the hospital just in time, and she gives birth to her baby girl. In the end Reba sings a lullaby to her.moreless

  • So emotional; brought me to happy tears.

Having been a fan of Reba's music and movies for years, I was hooked from episode 1. What was thrilling for me was that I found out that I was pregnant (for the first time, after 17 years of marriage) during this time! Witnessing Elizabeth's birth after such a frantic, emotional year (for Reba AND me) was wonderful. I LOVED Van carrying Cheyenne to get her diploma, and the rare sisterly moment between Cheyenne and Kyra was touching and hilarious. This episode was the perfect way to end the season. I wish the rest of the series was as good.moreless

I thought that this episode was really good. I thought that it was really messed up that the principle of the high school went to Reba's house to give Cheyenne her diplima so she did not have to particapate in graduation. I was really proud of Cheyenne that she stood up to the priciple. I thought that it was very funny that Cheyenne went into labor on the day of her high school graduation just like the princple thought she would. I was happy for Reba that she was able to be in the delevery room with her daughter and that she was able to see her granddaughter when she entered the world.moreless

This was really sad and good to watch. It is sad because reba was understanding to what is happening to her daughter. It is also sad and good to see Kyra stand help her sister achieve her pain. And I like the part when she helps her sister by not telling her mom that she is in labor. She did that for her sister because she asked her nicely not to tell her mom because she will miss her graduation.I really think this is a good episode because cheyenne stood for her rights to still get to go to her graduation even though she is almost due to her pregnancy.I also like the part reba sings to her granddaughter.moreless
