Barbra Jean Booker Hart
Dr. Brock Hart
This is the first episode where Reba begrudgingly admits she likes Barbra Jean. It also begins the journey towards Reba's eventual admission that Barbra Jean is her best friend, which occurs during the series finale.
There is an episode of What I like about You which is also a WB show with the same title
In this episode, Reba drinks lemonade, however in "Safe Dating", she says she is allergic to lemonade.
Right when Brock is leaving Reba's house complaining about how they should all move into the same house, he says that he moved 3 doors down from Reba, but in the episode The Best and the Blondest, Kyra says they moved 4 houses down.
In one shot Reba has her left arm resting on top of her right arm, in the next consecutive shot, Reba has her right arm resting on top of her left arm. (at the end when telling Barbara Jean that she picked up Elizabeth instead of Henry).
Jake: One of the pigeons pooped on a guy!
Brock: Well, maybe the guy started it first.
Barbra Jean: If squirrels could talk... (leaves)
Reba: Apparently nuts can.
Reba: How hard could it be to confuse Barbra Jean?
Barbra Jean: (looks at her reflection in a spoon) Look at my tiny head.
Reba: Okey-Dokey. Oh my god, Kyra kill me!
Reba: Maybe somewhere deep inside, that baboon queen has a heart.
Barbra Jean: SHE SAID OKEY-DOKEY CAUSE SHE LIKES ME! Yeah, she likes me, she likes me, na na na na na!
Barbra Jean: When I was the other woman we had a bad relationship.
Reba: What's u... (interrupted by Barbra Jean)
Barbra Jean: You like me!
Reba: Yep, Barbra Jean loves apology-wologies.
Cheyenne: (locks herself in the toilet and cries) I'm not getting out!
Van: Cheyenne, I have to use the bathroom!
Barbra Jean: If you don't like me, than I'll take Henry and leave. (picks up Elizabeth and opens the door).
Kyra: Oh, I get it. You pass by the alligators and splash goes Barbra Jean.
Reba: What? NO! But, it's a good idea - mental note, kill Barbra Jean.
Brock: Oh I'm perfect! We moved three houses down from my ex-wife! Next time, let's just move together!
Barbra Jean: KYRA! You forgot your lunch box! (hands her a box that says Kyra with large letters, and is all pink).
Reba: Oh, it's all pink and sparkly, like Kyra.
Barbra Jean: You want to come with me?
Reba: No, I just said I am coming with you.
Reba: So what's your group gonna be called?
Barbara Jean: 'Camp sleepover at Step-Grandma Barbara Jea--' DARN!
(after Barbara Jean has found out that Reba likes her, and she has sung her broadway-style song)
Barbara Jean: Well, I'd better go.
Reba: Okey dokey smokey!
(She closes the door and claps a hand to her mouth)
Reba: I hope she didn't hear that.
Barbara Jean: (sticks her head into the window and singing) She said okey dokey 'cause she liiikes meeeeeeeee-
(Reba pulls together the curtains)
Barbara Jean: (shouting from outside) Yay! She likes me!
Kyra: Okey dokey, smokey.
Barbra Jean: KYRA! You just said "okey dokey smokey"! That's one of my favorite catch phrases! You just talked like me!
Kyra: ... Yes I did .... (turns to Reba) Remember me.
Barbra Jean: It's like me on my high school debate team. A kid told me to shut up, and I froze! Well...a judge, not a kid...a kid and a judge...and some parents.
Barbra Jean (After finding out Reba admitted to Brock she kind of likes Barbra Jean): I'm annoying but she likes me! I'm annoying but she cares!
(Barbra Jean shows up wearing a shirt with a picture of her head on it)
Barbra Jean: Look! It's my picture!
Reba: Oh, I thought you just swallowed your head.
Brock: Or Jake swallowing $1.50 in change?
Reba: Oh, that was my fault. I told him it was lunch money.
Reba: Even I'm getting sucked in! Everybody walking around getting along. It's ridiculous!
Brock: I know. Where's the hate?
