Episode Summary

Cheyenne and Reba argue over whether or not Cheyenne should do laundry and grocery shopping. Cheyenne returns from "grocery shopping" with no bags, but an application for an apartment that she and Van found. The only problem is they don't have the money to support themselves. Cheyenne asks Reba and Brock for money and they turn her down. She then tells Van to ask his parents. After all, they must be over the whole wedding thing by now and feeling guilty on top of it. Van returns with a new truck and his parents offer for them to move in. Van and Cheyenne pack up and are ready to move to the Montgomerys' house. When they take over their first load of stuff in their new truck Van's father asks to speak with him alone. The Montgomerys make it clear that they asked Van to move in, not Cheyenne. The truck and the offer were a bribe to get him to leave his new bride. Van knows how much this will crush Cheyenne, she was so excited about living in the Montgomery's mansion, maid and all. Kyra lies to her dad when cancelling their plans. Reba asks her why she lied and Kyra says that she and her dad are very different and it's uncomfortable for them to hang out. She calls back and tells Brock that she can make it after all. Reba talks to Brock and he admits he's a little bit afraid of Kyra. Reba tells him it's time they sat down and talked, that he needs to take his daughter out on a date. Van goes to Reba for advice and she tells him that he needs to finally stand up to his father. Van and Reba go over to the Montgomerys' to confront them. Mr. Montgomery starts insulting Reba and her lack of morals for allowing her daughter to get pregnant and it finally gives Van the courage to stand up to his dad. He tells Mr. Montgomery that Reba is a better father than he ever was and hands back the keys to the truck. Brock and Kyra go out on their date and end up at a frilly tea party store where both of them are incredibly uncomfortable (it was Barbra Jean's idea). They both decide they'd rather go see a movie. Van and Cheyenne tell Reba they're happy to be back home.moreless

  • Van totally kicks butt!

Wow! A lot happens in this episode with Van and his selfish parents. They're still holding a grudge over him getting Cheyenne pregnant and they're taking it out on her and her baby. In this episode, Van's parents really piss me off with the way they treat him, Cheyenne, and Reba. In the end, Van tells it like it is. He can appear to be a dummy at times, but he has a lot of moments when you see his serious and smart side, especially when he tells his father off. You know what? I agree with Van 100 percent. Reba was a much better parent than his father ever was in his 17-year-old life. Van has lots of courage.moreless
  • We meet van's parents!

Van's parents invite Van to move back in! ...But there's a catch, he has to leave Cheyenne! Reba goes with Van to his parents for moral support, because Van's afraid. When he is too afraid to talk, Reba tells them how Van feels, and Van's father makes a rude comment about her. Van finally sticks up for Reba, but also sticks up for himself. In the mean time Brock and Kyra have to spend the day together, so they go to a place Barbra Jean recomends... a tea house! In the end they start talking, and decide to go to the movies.moreless
  • An awesome episode.

Reba was really smart when she told Cheyenne that if she wants to be treated like an adult then she can do her own laundry and grocery shopping. Van and Cheyenne thinking that they are old enough and responsible enough to have an apartment is hilarious because they can't even make their own food or pay for the apartment. This episode is awesome because nobody thinks that they can live on their own and have enough money to pay for an apartent. I love the truck that Van's parents gave to him, and the fact that they are so stupid because they can't see that they were just giving them the things as bribes to have Van back at home. The fact that Reba didn't want Cheyenne to leave is so sweet. It's understandable that Van thought that his parents invited them both and not just him. When Kyra and brock go and hangout it's funny because you can see they are both feeling uncomfortable. The place that Brock and Kyra go is a place for little kids.moreless
