  • Not since "Infected" have I been so impressed with a season premier.

    8.5
The recap of season three in the opening credits rocked! And we even get a cool new version of the theme song.

Wow you can certainly notice that technology has come a long way since 1994 when ReBoot first began. The characters now have more facial expressions and just look more human especially Enzo.

When I first seen this movie back in 2001 the first thing I said was "There are two mainframes now?" and then I was confused as to why Dot’s Diner was being rebuilt seeing as it was restored in "End Prog" it wasn’t until I saw the teenage version of Dot and baby Enzo that I realized it was a flashback. I’m glad we got to finally see the destruction of the twin city but it won’t be fully explained until "What’s Love Got to do With it?". Man Dot certainly looks like she’s from the 80's eh?

I like the new voice for Enzo but he sure isn’t Christopher Grey who is, out of the four actors who played young Enzo, the one I prefer. What happened to Dot and Mouse’s outfits we seen in Megaframe- End Prog? I really liked Dot’s blue uniform it suited her more then the grey one she’s back to wearing again.

Daemon is going all out now and isn’t so subtle about her infection as she was when we first heard about her in "The Episode With No Name". I think I would have liked to seen when everyone first heard about her but I shouldn’t complain at least we got a fourth season. Speaking of Daemon I was really surprised how sprite like she was we have never seen a virus like that before. I also enjoy how the Daemon storyline is a parody on overly religious folk, she kind of reminds me of Jasmine from Angel.

I have no clue where Matrix and AndrAIa were but I’m guessing it’s the sort of space were you can pick a system to enter like the edge of beyond.

I wasn’t very impressed with the guardians for deleting some of the Binomes in mainframe I just hope they weren’t the ones who were only recently restored. Bob seemed a little perchy to me when it came to deleting he may claim he can’t go against his code but Matrix sure does. That bike Matrix was on looked ridiculous when he turned it into a weapon. Bob really did treat Matrix like a child when he ordered him into the game.

Hexadecimal hitting on Bob was mildly amusing. At one point she said "You need some down time, we could go down together" which can be construed as a sexual reference, a fine example of how much ReBoot has grown up since season one. I’m guessing she used her powers to make a magnetic force so the guardians ships could be drawn to one another, I like that she saved Mainframe (this first time).

The game itself was a parody of Austin Powers. Matrix rebooted into Dr. Evil, Enzo into Mini me, Frisket into Mr. Bigglesworth, and I’m assuming AndrAIa into a fem-bot, the user was Austin. There was a major goof when Matrix and AndrAIa rebooted because their icons where still in game sprite mode. I was hoping the user would say randy but he never he also said karma a lot which isn’t like Austin Powers he says mojo.

That kiss between Hexadecimal and Bob? Eww! Poor Dot must have been really confused. That spark and Hex saying "Oh, Bob" can also be construed as a sexual reference.

Yay for call backs to earlier seasons, It makes me laugh that there is a show about ReBoot in ReBoot. The big cliffhanger ending to this episode is that Dot, Matrix, and Enzo’s father is still alive just nullified. I don’t understand why he wasn’t able to take over and talk through Nullzilla in season two, maybe it’s because Hex is a healed virus now. I’m really glad they brought Welman back it’s nice to know the writers of ReBoot don’t forget past storylines.

I rate this episode a 8.5. And it also gets my number 8 choice for the best ReBoot episodemoreless
  • Hexadecimal!

    9.2
This episode is very good. Seeing Hexadecimal hit on Bob is my type of comedy! I really like that surprise endeding. The thing with the nulls was sorta creepy. Very good episode. Good instalment for the movie. Seeing Hex acting nice is cool. I remeber she used to be mean! But becasue it's been so long I don't rember when she was cured. I really think that seeing Bob in the Glitch stuff is really cool. Those clothes are sweet!

I think who ever wrote this episode is a genius! That person should be proud! Very Good Episode.moreless
