    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    • TRIVIA (3)

      • Goof
Bob uses his car to get away from Megabyte, but in an earlier episode ("Painted Windows"), he traded the car in for a motorcycle.

      • How/Why did Mouse PREPARE to track the Web creature? Although her motives aren't as clear, she obviously came to Mainframe, sent by Turbo, to find more information on the Web Creature. Thus, Turbo was alerted (presumably) when Mouse triggered that "wrist band" (which is later referred to as a "communicator" in the next episode).

      • The reason why Hexadecimal and Megabyte, when combined, make Gigabyte is because, later, in Season 4, it tells the story of Welman Matrix who targeted the Supercomputer but inadvertently brought back a virus named Gigabyte instead. It was too much for his machine to handle so it caused an explosion, which later seperated Gigabyte into two viruses-Hexadecimal and Megabyte.

    • QUOTES (11)

    • NOTES (8)

    • ALLUSIONS (6)

      • AndrAIa: A boy!
        Enzo: And his dog!
Referencing the 1969 novella A Boy and His Dog by Harlan Ellison, later made into a movie in 1975. The Boy is Vic, a post-apocalyptic teenager who wanders a devastated wasteland with his telepathic and highly intelligent dog Blood.

      • When Gigabyte approaches Bob and Dot, he scrapes his claws against a wall. This is similar to a scene in A Nightmare on Elm Street, where Freddy Krueger scrapes his finger knives against a wall as he advances on his victim.

      • Bob identifies himself as Guardian 452, which has been confirmed by the show creators (who are British) as being a reference to a policeman in the old British childrens series "Camberwick Green"; Police Constable McGarry, 452 was his badge number.

      • Gigabyte's line "I am become Gigabyte, destroyer of systems", is a reference to Robert Oppenheimer, the "father of the atomic bomb". After witnessing the first atomic test, Trinity, Oppenheimer is reputed to have whispered "I am become Death, destroyer of worlds".

The original quote is from Hindu scripture and is attributed to Vishnu.

      • The game console/"thing" Mouse is using to contain the tear looks just like a Sony Playstation (controller).

      • When Gigabyte is first seen, he is on one knee, in a small crater, much like "The Terminator".
