  • The final battle between good and evil is about to begin... or so it seems.

After returning from Wort, Parn, Deedlit and Woodchuck are beginning to realize that their final battle against Marmo grows nearer. This is also a nice development for Deedlit and Parn's romance.

Joining Fahn and Kashue in the frontlines, the three heores moves ahead, awaiting the battle to begin. But Marmo forces have heroes of their own in their army: Beld, the black knight Ashram and a dark elf Pirotess. The upcoming battle certainly won't be an easy one.

This episode, along with the one which follows, is one of the best as it shows what war really brings and that not everytime those who deserve it, are remembered.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • Character debut: Pirotess
She is one of the great dark elves who allies with the Marmo forces. Her skills are similar to Deedlit, that is, she can wield a sword, and also call on natural spirits for her dark magic.

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Wagnard: Tomorrow shall see a mountain of corpses, a sea of blood. Kardis, it shall be the greatest of all sacrifices to you.

    • (Parn asks Deedlit to not join him in battle tomorrow but she refuses.)
Parn: Look, we don't even know if we'll be coming back.
Deedlit: OK, then explain to me why you have to go?
Parn: Because the only thing I can do now is keep moving on. That's why I have to go.
Deedlit: Well then, I've got to go with you, because someone's gotta protect your rear.
      Parn: Deedlit.
Deedlit: The world is full of people who will get you from behind. Let me handle them. You keep your eyes on what's ahead.
      Parn: Deed.

    • (Beld orders Ashram to lead the elves in a surprise attack.)
Beld: If we don't change our battle plan, then surely we will meet our end in no time. Our forces are not sacrifices. They're a necessary shield. As you will be, if you die.
Ashram: Yes, sire. As you may be too.
      (Beld snickers evilly.)

    • Parn: How could they do this?
Wood: This is what happens to people in war.
Parn: No knight of Valis could ever be as cruel as this.
      (Wood affirms.)
Deedlit: Perhaps. But war shows no prejudice to its victims. Soldiers, villagers, women, children, the elderly. No one escapes death in battle.
