Who do you like more? Normal Rimmer or Ace? I would have to go with normal Rimmer!

Definitely Rimmer. Ace is so mind-blowingly um...mentally whole that all that perfection would get boring very fast. Give us a paranoid, insecure smeghead any time!

Who else was perfect in BBC comedy? Wasn't there a Flashman-type guy in the Blackadder series? Pit the WWI Flasheart against Ace Rimmer and who would win?

    Normal Rimmer.

Ace in better looking in Dimension Jump - in Stoke Me A Clipper the wig isn't as nice!

Ace is far to ...smarmy and cheesy!

BREAKFAST, that was his trademark line.

And of course our beloved AJ Rimmer, heads down. I hate Ace, he's so... perfect! YUCK!

That was Ace's line, I think MasterWarrior was talking about the incorrect version Rimmer gives at the end of "Stoke me a clipper". Ace always said "Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast!" but Rimmer says "Stoke me a clipper, I'll be back for Christmas... whatever"

Anyway, on to the subject. I prefer Rimmer to Ace.

It's said that there are only 10 people in the Galaxy that are able to resist Ace and coincidentally, they all hang around on this board! O_o

Having just finished watching series VIII on DVD and reading about the many endings for "Only the good...", I find myself wishing they had have shot the Ace Rimmer ending (not necessarily as the final ending, but more like the other version in the deleted scenes). The idea of the old Holo-Rimmer as Ace meeting his old self seems to me like it would be quite interesting and funny.  It would have a Freedom 55 commercial feel to it ("Who are you?" "I'm you!").

It's tempting to say Ace but he'd get annoying after a while. I guess he's not as different from Arnie as it may seem. Ace's way of approaching a problem (charge in and get killed) can be no more helpful then Arnie's (do nothing). I'd go for Ace (just).
