hilarious, hilarious, hilarious- i wake up every time i can to catch this show, work or not.

is it racist? of course it isn't. is it satirical? of course is it. do people often ignore the differences between the two? of course they do.



i wish they'd make it available at times other than three am! or i need to buy a pvr, one of the two! :P

If you think ridicule, stupid jokes, insulting racist remarks and flippant right wing political hate talk is your thing, then you will enjoy this show. My my my...I have never seen Ann Coulter look so sexy...so female and animated! So here is some red meat for my American flag draped Republican friends and family members...and who said I am one sided...hate is always funny!

This is a typical Fox show. We get that awful bile taste in our mouth as we listen to a bunch of smart-aleck know nothings giving their unwanted opinions about shows and personalities that must be a whole lot better than them because they aren't on at 3 AM like this loser. It's like watching a bunch of college kids conversing half drunk at a party.Like we want to here what a "Poker Commentator" thinks about anything. If I want to watch smug commentators, I can turn on Fox during the daytime hours. This show is so bad, I'd rather watch The Magic Bullet blender infomercial! :(

I could count on the fingers of one hand the shows that consistently make me laugh, and laugh out loud. This slice of irreverance and genius plugs directly into what goes on in my subconcious, so much it's a little scary. These guys, and (hot) gals tell it like it is on a daily basis with the kind of warped conservative spin that pulls me in and pushes ALL my buttons. My only gripe is that it's been removed from the international feed of (the mighty) Fox News and the only way I've had to keep up with it is through the interwebs. I miss the guys (and the aforementioned gals) and hope for its return to the airwaves. If you're easily offended, or a Politically Correct drone then you should avoid - otherwise I vote you should check it out, check it outers.

I am not in any way opposed to comedians doing satirical news shows, (I love Jon Stewart) but their success depends largely on their ability to base their comments on facts; not mere easy-way-out-not-requiring-any-talent-or-comedic-timing gag lines that disrespect people and are intentionally hurtful.

This...um..."news item" directly coincided with the repatriation of the four latest Canadian soldiers killed in Afghanistan. Imagine the poor military families awaiting their return?


Had anyone at FOX cared to look into it, they'd have known this and assuming the sophomoric "stars" of the show wouldn't get it, one HAS to assume some FOX executive might at least worry about some minor backlash from those "stupid" people to the "frigid north" who "might be able to beat Belgium".


NOTE: Historical fact numbnuts: WWI? Vimy Ridge, Ypres (remember "Flanders Fields"? where and from whom did you think that poem originated?), The Sommes? That WAS Belgium and I do believe they are grateful to this day that we were there to help.





This is Gutfeld's "apology": "The March 17th episode of Red Eye included a segment discussing Canada's plan for a 'synchronized break,' which was in no way an attempt to make light of troop efforts," host Greg Gutfeld said in a [forced]{sic} statement issued Monday.





"However, I realize that my words may have been misunderstood. It was not my intent to disrespect the brave men, women and families of the Canadian military, and for that I apologize.





"Red Eye is a satirical take on the news, in which all topics are addressed in a lighthearted, humorous and ridiculous manner," he added."





#1: Your words weren't misunderstood. We got the message clearly.


#2: Jon Stewart for example...you know...the man you wanna be?...is a success at satirical humour, including that directed at us in Canada by the way, specifically BECAUSE he knows his facts first, and secondly because he is not a bully about it.


#3: Fortunately for you Mr. Gutfeld, we stupid frozen people with no army tend NOT to judge everyone in a group by those with no talent, no humour and most regrettably, no smarts.

Personally i think it is the best movie ever. it was very good and suspensefull and stuff. It was so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so awesome.,

Set up as a discussion group akin to "The McLaughlin Group," The similarity ends there unless you imagine McLaughlin's Group on heavy drugs. On this late night show, the outrageous and outspoken gather with Greg Gutfeld to discuss the news and the hottest topics of the day. Among the regular panelists are recurring guests Bill Shultz, Kevin Godlington, Will Durst, and Rachel Marsden. Greg Gutfeld's mother 82 year-old serves as "Senior Correspondent" and phones in her reviews from California with the senior citizen perspective. Andrew Levy serves as Ombudsman and Futurist. In the former role, Levy critiques the reviewers at the half hour; in the latter role, he predicts tomorrow's big stories. This crew find no topic with boundaries they will not cross. Whether a Presidential Candidate or stripper rights or Panda sex, they jump in with a politically incorrect banter that is sure to arouse, offend, shock, amaze, and occasionally educate. "Red Eye" is unlikely to bore viewers.

What happens when you get a bunch of bloggers and pundits together at 2 AM?





The answer is utter chaos. These guys are nuts, wacko, cracked, and just plain warped. No topic is over the line. No individual is safe. The even ream their own network!

Greg Gutfeld is a animated gopher on fast forward. He'll say anything, and is without shame. One can only imagine what he is like off screen.





Andrew Levy is an ideal dead pan comic. His mid and end reports are fantastic.





At 2 AM this rocks! I love this show when I'm too tired to have any common sense. This is "guilty pleasure" redefined!

One of the wildest shows of all time!





This show is like a cross between a blog and a news show. The guests are funny and from varied professions and view points. Since it is on so late, you hear people say stuff they could say no where else and would say no where else! The topics are varied and many are things that woy\uld never make it on regular news.





I can only guess how long this show will be on before a topic or statement that is outrageous gets them in trouble. From what I have seen it will not be long!

A silly late nite view of the news for the young is "Red Eye."





I love this show it is like a blog on TV. There are a number of news stories discussed in a way prime time will not allow. It is wild to watch. I think it is so cool that a show like this is on the air.





The humor is great. There is a wonderful selection of varied guests. The selction adds to the discussion. Some take Fox News to task for being conservative, but the guests I saw were not.





If you love wild TV, this show is for you.

I love the show. An unscripted bit of chaos in the early morning when insanity reigns!





No one is getting away with what this gang does. They rule the AM! No one says what the say! It must be because of the early hour that no censors care. They say what they think. The crack jokes no one on network TV would utter. They use words no one on television would use. Kuddos to this group of nuts.





Watch this and the news will never be the same. This is a blog on TV, strange news, major news, non-news, off color news, you name it "Red Eye" has it.

This show is for a uniquely strange individual with a unusual sleep cycle.





2 AM is not the time for a typical show. It is also not the time for a typical news show, but this group is not typical. This is more like a very inebriated frat party with news on the mind and bad jokes on the back burner.





Only at this absurd hour could these topics and jokes survive. We must wonder what is going on at Fox. Did this nuts just slip in and take over a studio in the middle of the night? Is that really alcohol on the take? One expects the pizza guy to come in as they slip into "The War On Strippers" discussion. One expects a Fox Exec. to come running in any second to pull the cord.





I find this a guilty pleasure to watch. If you are all alone and up one night, tune in for an instant news party, but bring your own pizza.

There is a very strange world out there after midnight. Catch "red Eye" and you'll catch the 2 AM fever.





"Red Eye" is a rough house of verbal discussion. This gang of pendants and guests from everywhere discuss the news of the day. Everything is off beat and raucous. things get said that you will not believe.





Greg Gutfeld is a riot. Andrew Levy is an excellent straight man. The rest of the team is just wild and so strangely interesting.





I really like this show and you will too as long as you can stay awake late enough to watch it.

Red Eye is a pioneering show that defies convention. The irreverence and alternate view to the Hollywood and liberal establishment makes it worth a look.





For those with a open mind this is a show to try. You may not take to it, but by being open minded enough to check it out, it says something about your defiance of dogma and intellectual curiosity.





It is loosely based on the "McLaughlin Group" model of news.





The vignettes are excellent. The news spots are particularly funny, and scary in their factual basis.

I am not from the United States so when I look at Red Eye I may see it differently than many at TV.com. It is really a interesting and different view of American culture and the news. Something like this would be banned in my country.





What we see in my country is heavily controlled. It tends to cater to local opinion in an effort to gain an audience. Red Eye is totally different and a fresh look at what people really think. I like that the people say what they think. The international guests are good too. Maybe they'll get some from my country soon.

A very cool show with a wild format and group. This is a daily fix for me.





I have never seem a show like this before and can not imagine how it gets past the network and government goons to stay on the air. This crew crosses every boundry. In fact, they leap over the boundries!





This is a view of the news you will see no where else. It is totally off the wall. If you like frat house humour you will love this show, but do not take it too seriously.





Watch "Red Eye" and you will forever be hooked!

I love this. They say what they think. I am so tired of the usual stuff on the news networks. It is all a bunch of talking heads who read talking points, make false pretentions, and try to away the masses for special interests.





Only on Red Eye could you see major figures discuss stuff that would be censored elsewhere.





I hope the show takes off!





The two AM air time really stinks unless you are a night owl. I just record it, but still ...

I stumbled across redeye one afternoon here in Australia and just couldn't turn away! Im not normally interested in news shows but just the way that redeye takes the piss out of things cracks me up! It can also be serious too when it wants to be, like the Greg-a-logue last week about Al Gore winning the Nobel Peace Prize, Greg didnt take too kindly to that & gave the prize to another candidate who helped to smuggle Jewish people out of Germany in WW2.


I love Andy Levy's Half time and Full time report and seriously believe that he should have more air time, he is a genuinly guy! Bill Schultz, the grotuesque side kick has quite a few good lines and his Schultz on the Street segment are a great laugh.


To anybody out there WATCH THIS SHOW!! I know it is on really late in America but i think it is worth it!

I like it and it is hard to say why.





Some shows just appeal to us. Red Eye has that quality. It is hard for me to put my finger on the factors that made it addictive, but it is.





There is news and lots of it. The crew scour up trivia, blurbs, main stories, buried stories, and non-stories from around the globe and the net,





There is discussion. Well maybe more like raucous banter by blithering idiots who were once famous educated souls. Much like vampires in the early morning sun, these regulars and guests loose their minds and form in the wee hours of the morning.





It is like a frat party gone out of control. To watch famous talking heads disintegrate is a pleasure. Need I say more?





Watch, tape, or DVR this show and the sit back and enjoy the chaos!

The show is as funny as the ORIGINAL SNL cast shows of the late 70s. The edgy material does warrant the 2AM time slot.Paeticularly when the porn stars comment on political events and ideas(seriously!).





Who is this Guttfield and where did he come from?


He brings us jokes and bizzare commentary.


has he come from another planet or a test tube?





Since this is on FOX news the "major " news net execs must be kickin themselves, but they are dried up old loosers anyway.

Red Eye is one unusual show. It is unlike any other.





It must be the time slot, but they get away with stuff no other show would attempt. Individuals seem to say things on this show they would not say elsewhere. Here is the wonder of Red Eye.





This show gets famous people to air the thoughts kept deep . One gets to see what they really think and see them interact naturally with others. There is knowledge in this.





The topics are the basic news of the day with a weird twist. Political Incorrectness is the order of the day and night.
