Red Widow

From executive producer/writer Melissa Rosenberg and based on the 2010 Dutch series Penoza by Pieter Bart Korthuis and Diederik van Rooijen, Red Widow is about Marta Walraven, a suburban housewife with a loving husband, three children and a beautiful home in Marin County, just north of San Francisco, who is forced to continue the work of her organized crime husband after he is assassinated in a drug-related incident. No stranger to organized crime, Marta's father, Andrei, and brother, Irwin, are part of the Bratva - Russian gangsters - and, until now, she's always looked the other way. After her husband's brutal murder, she is hounded by the FBI and international crime boss, Nicholae Schiller. Marta is determined to find out the truth about her husband's death and she is determined to do whatever she must to protect her children, even if it means getting involved in the world of organized crime. The question is, how far is Marta willing to go in order to beat her adversaries at their own deadly game.
