  • Um, isn't this, oh I don't know.. just the pilot???

Why was this episode even made?

You can tell where stuff has been added in from the pilot. The animation looks older and during parts of it, Mordecai looks a bit off-model. Wouldn't it of been better just to air the pilot alone?

    *shrugs*

PLOT: Mordecai and Rigby play rock paper scissors for a chair that Pops is throwing away.

All-in-all, pretty predictable if I were grading the PILOT, not the episode.moreless

Mordecai and Rigby play rock-paper-scissors over a chair and tie 100 times, but it ends up summoning a tie-breaking monster. A great episode. It was actually the unaired plot and I was surprised to see that. It was not my favorite episode since some of the scenes were boring but the plot was just great. Muscle Man's appearance was hilarious especially when he told a my mom joke (pretty unexpected). Overall, a great episode and I agreed that this episode could have aired in 2010. 8.5/10moreless
  • Mordecai and Rigby find a job opening at the local park as groundskeepers. In an attempt to furnish their new room, they both want the same chair. They decide to play Rock-paper-scissors for it, but after tying 100 times, an evil force is summoned.moreless

What a weird place to show this episode. this should be like Ep1 of Season 1, it's not even done like a Flashback?! Don't get me wrong this is a great episode, and is better than the original Pilot, but it just feels like it's been jammed in randomly with no regard for the order of the episodes....
  • Cartoon Network, are you kidding me? Why didn't you air this pilot when this show came out? Why did you air this pilot in Season 2? Are you stupid? Did you get enough sleep or were you too busy being lazy to air this pilot?moreless

Okat, first of all, this episode wasn't bad. The score is just so incredibly low because I am furious at Cartoon Network for airing this episode when this should've been the pilot. You the see the Season 1 episode that says "Pilot" (you know, that pilot that never aired on Cartoon Network and only aired on Youtube). The first episode in Season 1 should've been "First Day" right there. I didn't want to be harsh by giving this episode a 4 since this episode really wasn't bad but Cartoon Network just drove me insane. When I saw this episode, I said to myself "Oh My Gosh, this is pilot episode that only aired on Youtube" but for some stupid and atrocious reason, stupid Cartoon Network aired this episode on Season 2. This is gonna be as low as I go. I wanted to give this episode a 1 because of how furious Cartoon Network made me but I tried to control myself and give this episode at least a 4. There were some funny moments. This episode would've gotten a 9 if Cartoon Network aired this as the pilot episode in the first place. The most hilarious part in this pilot was when Mordecai and Rigby played Rock, Paper, Scisscors for the chair and Pops was being fascinated by it. I give this episode a 9 because I thought Benson was so harsh to Mordecai and Rigby at the end of the episode especially because it was their first day at working at the park. So this pilot actually gets a 9 from me. I really didn't want to give this episode a super low score but it's so low due to Cartoon Network making me furious and it bugged me so much. Overall, this pilot is actually good but it's Cartoon Network's fault for not airing this episode as Regular Show's pilot episode in Season 1... so yeah, "First Day" is Regular Show's pilot episode so if you missed this Monday's new Regular Show, don't worry about it because it wasn't even a new episode (to me at least). 4/10moreless
