  • Pretty good.

    9.5
This episode was not bad. Nigel and Sydney have to go to India when a mysterious dagger begins to make men kill women when they hold it. After some time it is clear that many cult members still worship this god and want the dagger back. So it gets dangerous. Nigel is then forced to pose as a bomb expert to find out more but before long Nigel ends up holding the dagger and turns it on Sydney!

Luckily she takes him down and they return the dagger to a museum so yet another relic is safe. Overall i thought this was a pretty good episode. Certainly better than some episodes i have seen.moreless
  • Sydney and Nigel have to find a knife scabbard - to stop a knife from possessing its owner.

    7.5
Sydney and Nigel don't believe that a friend Frederick has killed his assistant. But Frederick tells them an ancient knife made him do it and begs Sydney to recover the scabbard in India. Sydney and Nigel travel there to meet up with some locals - but they are all being killed by cult members of Kali. Sydney and Nigel then travel to a dig site - where Nigel impersonates a bomb expert to get in. There Sydney discovers that various workmen are acting suspiciously - and they follow their tracks and enter the real temple entrance. There they find the cult chanting and the cult leader (Patel) preparing to sacrifice a woman. Sydney distracts the cult while Nigel escapes with the woman. They use dynamite to continue their escape but then Nigel touches the knife - and is possessed - and attacks Sydney. Fortunately Sydney is able to sheath the knife in the scabbard(!), Nigel is unpossessed and all 3 flee the dig site.

There are quite a few similarities with this episode and the second Indiana Jones movie. However, the excellent acting and plot keep the story on track. Elias Zarou is very convincing as the cult leader (Patel) and he has a scene where he says he will "cut out the relic hunters' heart" and it is very threatening. The scenery also adds to the story. This episode also has Nigel involved in a fight scene with Sydney - it is done reasonably well but is it unnatural to see Nigel fighting in this way.moreless
