  • Sydney wants to find out what happened to her grandmother in Paris all those years ago.

    8.5
Sydney gets an old trunk holding her grandmother's (Isabelle) belongings - and they reveal a mystery about her grandmother and her old boyfriend. Sydney and Nigel go to Paris and track down Isabelle's friend - Simone - and ask for help to solve the mystery of the stolen locket/missing tiara. Simone sends them to a show promoter - Guy - where Sydney and Nigel pose as dancer/manager to get to the locket. They find it and fight off Guy and his gang. With the locket and a old photo - Sydney realises that Simone was the woman who stole the locket from Isabelle and sold it to Guy. Simone's granddaughter tells them that the locket info could lead to a famous cemetery - and thats where Sydney and Nigel find the tiara. However, Guy turns up again and puts both of them in a tomb! Fortunately, Sydney and Nigel escape and run back to Guy and stop him from selling the tiara. This episode is well plotted and exciting. It shows some background for Sydney's character and Tia Carrere plays the part of her grandmother well. Sara Kestelman is great as the jealous but empty Simone and she has some nice scenes with her granddaughter - played by Lucie Jeanne. The fight scenes are great and actually a bit violent for this show. And again the exterior scenes of Paris and the cemetery really add to the story. This is a very funny scene where Sydney and Nigel are hiding in a church confessional box - and Sydney confesses to a priest about her past loves - and the priest looks scandalised!!!moreless
