  • Sydney and Nigel try to help a foreign student retrieve a lost lamp.

    7.0
Prince Shareem - Sydney's student - wants her help to find an ancient lamp that will help him guide his country after his father dies. Sydney and Nigel (learning from past adventures) initially say no but are then forced to follow him to Arabia - once they find Shareem has hired an untrustworthy relic hunter (Kafka) to help him. This story has multiple possible opponents to Shareem - Kafka (a person with a greedy outlook not past killing to get what he wants), Yusef (who looks suspicious as the bodyguard) and Hosni (the helpful uncle who sees a different future for his country). Sydney has to fight off Kafka and he falls into a pit. Then Sydney leads them into a cave where they find the lamp. Shareem uses the lamp to prove that Yusef will help him while Hosni will hinder him. After all is over, Kafka rises from the bottom of the pit alive...

Usually the person asking for help is a sympathetic character - but Shareem is shown to be arrogant and distrusting throughout. This makes it difficult to care whether he finds the lamp or not. Elias Zarou who portrays Hosni very well - also appeared as the villain in the 'Dagger of Death' episode. In addition, a big similarity to the first Indiana Jones film has a small monkey that plays a mischievous part in the story too!!!moreless
