    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    • TRIVIA (1)

      • Tidbit

As Millicent hits the tennis balls the machine is spewing out, she speeds up, the way they did in the old movies, looking hilarious.

    • QUOTES (5)

      • Arnold: (pulls Laura onto the bed) If nuclear war comes and it could come at any time, imagine the two of us locked together in those final moments. Our death, bittersweet, but the image of us intertwined, living for all eternity.
Laura: On a wall? Like graffiti?

      • (after Steele is hit by a car)
        Laura: What happened?
Steele: I was engaged in the game of follow the bouncing ball. I played the part of the ball.

      • Steele: Did you know that Miss Holt and I are merely friends?
        Mildred: Friends?
        Steele: Well, more than friends.
        Mildred: How much more?
        Steele: Not that much.
Mildred: Well, what kind of relationship is it?
Steele: The kind that's filled with promise but otherwise unfulfilled.

      • Moriah: And now if you will please welcome Bachelor number four, Remington Steele. A private investigator, Remington tells us he loves old movies, especially those concerned with murder, mystery and mayhem. The ideal lady for him is one he can work with as well as play with.

      • Steele: (introducing themselves) Remington Steele and Laura Holt.
Security Guard: (checks the list) Remington Steele...and guest. The clubhouse is up the hill and to your left.
        Steele: Thank you.
Laura: ...And guest. Well, that certainly is an improvement. Usually when I'm with you, it's 'unidentified woman'.
Steele: Ah now, Laura, petulance is uncalled for. After all, you created Remington Steele to stand in the limelight while you worked behind the scenes in mole-like anonymity.
Laura: And I succeeded admirably. Especially in the 'mole-like anonymity' department.
