I was blown away (pun intended) seeing The Rock guest here as a memeber of S.W.A.T. I remember Paul Reubens guesting as well. Nudity and adult content added a lot more spice to the action. I would classify this as a cult classic. For the fans of the show, as an adult single male, in particular, will greatly enjoy this flick! People not familiar with the show or are not big fans might not put this even in the top 100 (sorry folks). I loved it at the theater, because I liked hearing what others thought was humorous. This is going to be a decent DVD, especially if they put on quite a bit of additional footage.moreless

I can not bring myself to stop going to see this movie. I was a little nervous to see such a great show move to the big screen, but everything worked. This movie had me laughing constantly, whether it was at the gang trying to move a chicken off the road, or Clemmie trying to find the identity of the man tattooed on her chest. It is amazing to me that everything is improvisational, and I commend these actors for doing a top-notch job. I highly recommend this movie to any fan of Reno 911! or anyone who wants a good laugh.moreless

  • Trivia

    ADD TRIVIA
    • If you look closely at the bed when Jim says to Clemmie, "Uh oh, yeast infection time" you can see that someone under the covers moves. That's Kerri Kenney, who originally was supposed to pop up at the end of the scene, but that idea was later scrapped. Edit
    • All the methods the deputies use to try to move the whale are exactly the same as when they tried to move the 10 Commandments statue in "Dangle's Ex Visits". Edit
    • In the last episode of the first half of season 4 Trudy was still pregnant, while in this movie she wasn't. Now in the premiere of the second half she will still be pregnant. It may be confusing because of the the order that the movie and the episodes were played, but the movie wasn't filmed with season four at all. Edit
  • Notes

    ADD NOTES
    • Dwayne Johnson (aka The Rock) is a big fan of Reno 911. When he was approached about making a cameo appearance, he very graciously agreed to do it for scale, even turning down the producer's offer to supply him with a driver to the set. Edit
    • The whole cast of The State, where Dangle, Junior and Trudy got started, are in the movie. They are in the scenes involving the tattoo parlors. Edit
    • In the DVD trailer this movie is advertised as Reno 911!: The Movie instead of it's real name, Reno 911!: Miami. When the movie came to theaters it's trailer said Reno 911!: Maimi: The Movie. However, on the DVD cover it says "Miami" in very small print, while "The Movie" is in much larger print. Edit
  • Quotes

    ADD QUOTES
    • Dangle: Sheriff Wagner, the Reno Sherriff's Department isn't just my co-workers, they're like my family. But they're also...the dumbest group of people I've ever met who weren't legally retarded. Edit
    • Trudy: Terry was giving tug jobs on the East Coast out here. He says he's out here recording his album. Terry: I am recording my album. See, I have a violin. Trudy: That's a ukulele, Terry. Terry: Your mom's a ukulele...Terry. Edit
    • Dangle: (yelling) How did the 911 switchboard come unplugged!? Trudy: (yelling) Because we had to unplug it to plug in the popcorn maker! Dangle: Don't yell--don't yell back at me, I'm in no mood for my own tone of voice, ok? Edit
  • Allusions

    ADD ALLUSIONS
    • Dangle: Everybody, let's be careful out there, ok? Jim's words echo those of Capt. Frank Furillo from the 1981 drama series Hill Street Blues, who would end each morning roll call with, "Let's be careful out there." Edit
    • Romeo and Juliet The scene at The International Inn where all the deputies end the evening exploring "self love" is a twisted recreation of the balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet. Edit
    • The Exploding Whale You wouldn't think anyone would do that in real life, but they did. A whale beached itself in Florence, OR in 1970 and the Oregon Highway Division decided to blow it up. Take a look at the results here. Edit
