Later we learn that this man is Oyoshi's very own father.. And hes been forcing Oyoshi to sleep with him. Her father, Matajuro, kidnaps Oyoshi's younger blind sister and kills her. When Oyoshi comes to find him, Momosuke stands up for her but just when things look hopeless, a brigade of soldiers arrive and kill Matajuro for his all of his crimes.moreless

There he runs into Mataichi who after telling him the situation, allows him to get involved knowing he needs a story. Later on, while wandering the woods, Momosuke finds Yasaku, who has been killing people for personal pleasure. Yasaku leads Momosuke to a bridge where he tricks him into falling off. The trio then appears to punish Yasaku for his sins, and then saves Momosuke from drowning.moreless

Upon his arrival he finds out that the trio has already beat him there and that they are undercover trying to solve the willow tree mystery. Later that night it is revealed that it was Kichibe all along killing his wives, not the tree. Mataichi and Ogin kill Kichibe, via the willow tree, because murder is never tolerated with the trio. Momosuke gets warned once again to stay out of their business.moreless

That night Enkai is being haunted by his dreams.. He goes off in the halls only to find the ghost of the child he killed. The owner and the 2 other guests reveal themselves as the Mataichi trio and kill Enkai for his crime.
