Oh My God.
Awesome opening. The cold opening of this episode was one of the best I've seen. Many shows tried to portray the struggle of firefighters, but none of the shows were so accurate as Rescue Me now.
Amazing, really. And in the top of that, in the world of Rescue Me, not everything has a happy ending. In fact, most things don't - just like in real life.
Rescue Me is known for stirring up the audience by pulling off things that normally would be banned from television. Connor's death, joking with the dead(The Chief), dissing the gay offending religious people, whatever.
But this time, maybe the writers went way too far. Maybe. I don't feel like analyzing the episode, because it had a very big impact on me, therefore, this is a spoilerfree review, just to summarize what I thought of it right after it ended.
