The picture of Sam and Jenna on Aaron's office desk in the Present Day is the same picture he takes of them during the rehearsal dinner shown in the 1989 flashback.
Craig and Sam's wedding is the plot to this episode. However, Will goes after her on the day of the wedding and the episode ends not revealing if the wedding has happened or not.
The note Aaron receives in the present day says "I know who killed her".
There are several posters in the Seattle coffee shop (in the 1989 episode) advertising a concert by the band called The Organ. That band was formed in 2001.
The song playing at the end while Sam and Will are together at the wedding is Roxette's "Listen to Your Heart."
The music in the background for the opening scene with Carla and Sam was The Cure: "Love Song."
In this episode, it is revealed that the present day Craig is unable to use his legs and is in a wheelchair.
Aaron: (to Carla, after they make love) So... You really thought it was perfect?
Aaron: It took you 21 years to find the right guy?
Carla: No, it took me 14 years to find the right guy. It took you 21 years to find me.
This is the first time Craig's and Will's friendship is ruined.
Craig is the person questioned by Detective Marjorino on the Present Day.
In the Present Day, Aaron gets an anonymus letter from someone who knows the truth about the murder.
Ratings: This episode only garnered 3.61 million viewers, marking it's lowest episode to date.
It is revealed that present-day Craig is a congressman.
The victim is either Samantha or Jenna.
Calvin Klein: Calvin Klein is a fashion designer, born in New York, who started a clothing company, Calvin Klein Limited, with Barry Schwartz in 1968. Now the Calvin Klein name and label are famous throughout the fashion world.
Hudson Hawk: Jenna is offered a part in the movie Hudson Hawk which her agent tells her will be the summer's biggest hit. Hudson Hawk was indeed supposed to be a blockbuster but did not live up to the hype and ended up being considered such a bad movie that it has even made it onto some top-10-worst-movies-of-all-time lists.
