Now that the murder has been revealed to be Sam's daughter Amy, this episode leaves a big question to be answered:
When Jenna tells Craig "I'm not doing this for you. I'm doing this for her" she could have meant both Sam or Amy.
In the episode previews, all through the previous days, Will Estes (Will) had blood on his eye. When the episode aired, they digitally whitened out that problem, which made his sclera (the white part of the eye) too white, and with no blood vessels.
Aaron is offered a position with AOL during the infancy of the company, complete with stock options.
Carla kidnaps Amy and gives her to Meghan; they both go to Jenna's house in California.
Samatha has a baby boy and names it Henry. Craig is the father.
In one of the scenes from the past (1991) where Aaron is sitting at his work desk, one of the computer screens in front of him has a 32bit version of Windows on the screen, possibly NT, 95 or 98. There was not even a prototype of this type of OS available until 1993.
Craig: You know, Aaron really likes you but he's afraid to ask you out because you work together.
Rachel: (Giving him a teasing look) Well, he's not exacly my type.
Jenna: I told him it was Paul he should be looking for.
Carla: Did he believe you?
Jenna: Of course he did. Why wouldn't he?
Craig: Thank you.
Jenna: I'm not doing this for you. I'm doing this for her.
Aaron: Yea fine, we're a team, just like you said. We'll get matching hats or something.
Craig: What changed that million dollar mind of yours?
Jeanna: I thought you were going to call.
Will: I caught a bus.
Jeanna: They have buses in L.A?
Det: You think she lied to you?
Det. Marjorino: Between me and you, I never thought she was that good an actress.
Rachel: Would you rather fail with your friends? Or succeed all by yourself?
Vanessa: Did they teach you stalking in basic training?
Will: We call it recon. Sounds cooler.
Altough Craig approaches Rachel to help Aaron's crush on her, it becomes clear she is interested in Craig, not Aaron.
This is the first time that Aaron and Carla's romantic relationship is damaged on behalf of bad timming.
The gun used by Carla in 1991 to threaten Paul is the same gun used on Samantha's murder.
This is Rachel's first appearence on the show.
This is the first episode in which the five remaining friends (Carla, Will, Aaron, Craig and Jenna) appear together on the present day.
In the Present Day, a couple of kids find the gun Carla has thrown into the river on episode 1987 and that was the weapon used to murder Samantha.
In this episode it is revealed that Paul and Carla have become a couple and he abuses her.
In this episode it is revealed that Jenna has issues concerning Craig on the Present Day. It is not revealed the reason for it.
This is the last appearence of Amy's character on the show.
Matthew St. Patrick, who plays Detective Marjorino, was voted People Magazine's "Sexiest Cop" of 2005.
